Dear ***,
Although the owner of the now dissolved Flash-Tune Inc DE still retains some controlling interest in FTecu Inc CAThis should not be misconstrued to mean they are the same entityFlash-Tune Inc never guaranteed the use of its products would be unlimited or that they would be supported at all let alone for an unspecified period of time extending beyond the life of the company
FTecu has continued the development work originally started by Flash-Tune and we have done everything we can to support Flash-Tune's existing customersWe have even gone as far as to offer free replacements for ECU interfaces which can no longer be supported at a massive loss
We understand your frustration and we would like to do anything possible, within reason to continue working with you in the future
Regards,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I am not satisfied with this solution for a number of reasons. 1: [redacted] owned Flash-Tune. FTECU is also owned by [redacted]. The agreement given when I purchased both of my original harnesses was that I would be given unlimited flashing capabilities, without any future fees or costs associated. Your new business model intends to destroy these harnesses via destructive code and thereby force me to purchase this new licensing/hardware combination that I am not going to consent to. I made my purchase under a clear set of terms and conditions. You have no right to violate those terms and destroy my personal property on the grounds that you think I should upgrade to your new hardware and licensing program. I do not authorize you to do any such thing, yet you have attempted to do so without your users' permission.
Regards,
[redacted]
Review: FT ECU purposefully and willfully permanently disabled hardware and software purchased previously to force users into purchasing a new hardware/software package. Users were not given any choice in the matter, the software simply disabled the hardware and auto-updated to require use of new hardware. Prior to this update the products were working perfectly. Initial cost of these products was $350 each. (I have 2) This means they have stolen or destroyed my personal property, worth $700.Desired Settlement: FT ECU needs to remedy this by allowing users to continue using their old hardware/software while being given the option of upgrading to the new hardware/software. That or a refund is due. I did not buy the product under these present terms and I should not be subject to them.
