This is Mike Z[redacted], General Manger at Frontier Ford. Although I personally was not directly involved with this transaction, I have taken the time to inquire into the complaint with my salesperson John S[redacted] and the sales management team. The transaction was not exactly as stated by [redacted]...
[redacted]. My inquiry indicates that Anthony did have a trade in and WE DID NOT cut him a check for his trade. Anthony's trade had a payoff and as such Mr S[redacted] would not have known that Anthony owed considerably more money on his trade until Anthony had his trade professionally appraised by our dealership. Therefore, the qoute of "cut a check for my trade" was not correct or possible. As far as the approval for a car loan, we submitted Anthony in for formal approval to purchase this Mustang. Due to numerous factors, we did not get an approval package put together for Mr C[redacted]. Finally, we submit for loan approval for customers based on our years of experience and each customers individual credit profile. My C[redacted], as far as I can see, was submitted thru the standard practice of submitting that includes all tax license and doc fees plus any negitive equity a customer may have less any down payment.Unfortunately, we cannot remove our inquiry on a credit file when a customer is requesting our business get an approved loan package. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future if needed in regards to this complaint! Mike "Z" Z[redacted] GM Frontier Ford
Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Cut a check was the wrong term. I sat down with a sales associate I want to say his name was Matt and he did a ten day pay off on my trade in with Exeter Financial. As for the loan, it was considerably more than what was asked for the vehicle hence the purpose of this complaint. The team at Frontier Ford knew VERY well what my situation was and mislead me into thinking that the loan had already been accepted. Its poor practice to tell a customer they've been approved and to come up. I have email evidence of this because of course the dealership's employees are going to say otherwise. The customer is always correct? I guess not in this case. Ive worked sales and marketing for 15 years and would never do this to a potential customer.
Sincerely,
