I discontinued my services with Frontier after attempting to renegotiate a lower bill after my plan had expired & the cost of my services went up by $100.00. After Frontier was unable to provide a reasonable reduction in my contract I advised them that I would be seeking services from another provider. On 04/08/19 I changed providers & my service with Frontier ended. In May I received a bill from Frontier for $258.95. I immediately contacted Frontier to discuss this bill, & was advised that I was being charged for not returning equipment. I advised the rep that the equipment was returned, they researched & discovered that the equipment had been returned stating that they had accidentally marked my account wrong & that I had to wait for their system to process the change and if I owed any monies I would receive a new bill. I received a new bill in the amount of $258.95. Again I called customer service & was advised that I was being charged an early termination fee. I advised them that I was not under a contract & that it had expired in January. They again researched my account & stated that there was an error, they noted my dispute and advised again that if I owed any monies I would get another bill. In July I received a bill in the amount of $258.95. This repeated for the months of July, Aug. & Sept. It was not until Oct. was I informed that the outstanding bill was because Frontier does not prorate upon termination of services. I was further advsied that I was over charged by $58.95 for services & that I actually owed only $200.00 because Frontier does not prorate service after termination. I was never advised during any of the 5 prior phone conversations with Frontier that the reason for the bill was due to their policy of not prorating services upon cancellation of same. 8 hours of time spent with Frontier in 6 months trying to resolve this issue & now having to fight with a collection company for something that I do not feel I owe to Frontie.

Revdex.com:
Thank you for the prompt response to my complaint. This will confirm that I received one telephone call from the business, who left a voice message advising that they have reviewed my account and agreed to zero out the balance. I certainly appreciate them taking care of this issue and their prompt response to my complaint. The only remaining issue is for them to report the zero balance to the credit reporting agencies so the negative matter will be removed from my credit history.I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

All of 2018, a lot of 2017 as well as some prior, I had A LOT of service issues. I was calling in at least once a month to get rehooked up, to the point that I would call or text my service tech in Atwater, MN directly instead of wasting my time on hold with the service department. In February I called and spent two hours on the phone trying to close my account. They said it would be a $100 disconnect, I said I WILL NOT be paying Frontier another dollar. He said if I wanted until November when my contract was up I wouldn't have to pay and that they could put my account on hold until then. I did my due diligence and asked multiple times if that would cost me anything and he verified MULTIPLE times that it would not. I agreed. After that I would get service invoices so I called at least 3 times over the summer and told them my account was on hold and I should not be getting a service invoice and they said they'd take care of it. Now I ended up with an almost $200 bill for having my account on hold!!!! I called and talked to another guy for half an hour and he FINALLY ended up reducing my bill in half but would not listen to what I was saying, just kept filling in the phrases he was taught to say to frustrated customers. After all the times of not having service and all the times I've had to call I will not be paying Frontier another dollar. I just want my $97 bill cleared and to never have to deal with them again.

The Complaint states that:
Ms. advises that when she tried to cancel her internet service with Frontier in May 2019 because of technical issues with the service, it was recommended that she put her account on a hold until the expiration of her contract in November 2019, in order to avoid being charged a $100.00 early cancellation fee. Ms. advises that she had been told that she would not be billed for the time that her account was on hold, but she started to receive bills with monthly recurring charges. Ms. advises that her remaining balance of $97.07 needs to be cleared. Frontier has investigated the above statements and offers the following response:
Frontier advises that customers have an option to suspend their service at a monthly recurring charge of $9.99, and putting an account on a suspension hold does not exempt a customer from being assessed an early termination fee. For these reasons, Ms. should not have been advised to put her service on a suspension hold. Frontier advises that Ms. was given a $100.00 credit in November 2019 to offset the early termination fee, which brought her balance to $97.07. Frontier advises that all charges incurred since the end of the May 2019 bill cycle have been credited, which cleared out the prevous balance of $97.07, and brought her current balance to zero. Frontier spoke with Ms. on December 20, 2019 and advised her of the above information.
We trust that this information will assist you in closing this complaint. We regret any inconvenience that Ms. may have experienced as a result of the above matter.

We signed up for internet service in January 27 2019. Online the address run shows 18MPBS for $29.99 therefore we signed up. When we got the service we were receiving around 12MBPS and started having service issues a few days later. We called they sent a tech and supposedly the issues was fixed. The issues remained. We called already over 20 times spoken to many customer service reps and my account has been fully notated by everyone showing that over 15 techs have been sent out to clear the lines, to fix pole issues, then we were too far so they dropped our speed to create more bandwith and the got charged an ETF when I never cancelled any service. The issue remained continued calling over the months. I spoke to Donna on the office of the president and she did a review and stated I had to pay an amount which I did not agree with because we did not have service. The issue still persist. I cannot pay for service I do not have and we are a family of 5 with 3 kids that need internet and we also work from home and this issue has prevented us from a lot of things and costs us a lot of money being out of commission. They suspended my account due to non payment however if someone decides to finally do a full investigation on this you will see we have spent many hours calling and getting no where.
As a consumer no one should ever go though a horrific experience as this. AT&T would have fixed this right away and NOT try to make us pay for service we never had or unrealizable service.
Every time we called someone will call us back and never do. Many reps have stated that they would not pay for service they didn't have and yet we have Frontier still charging us for service I never received 100%. We have been suspended and added many late fess and sent to collections based on us going with what the customer service reps are advising us to do.
Many credits were promised and a total credit for $227 was supposed to be issued and still haven been placed. I am being told I had to make a payment of $115.66 even though I didn't have service. This is all ridiculous and no one wants to take ownership at all since they see all my notes that this account is a huge problem. I want my money back and a full investigation done of all notes by everyone. Many techs lied to us and it was confirmed by other techs them stating they did something and never did.

I purchased 25 Mbps and I was provided with 12 Mbps. When I called to have it corrected I was expected to pay another installation fee. The excuses were that they couldn't speak to the landlord or myself but I was never contacted nor was my mother informed of the change in Mbps. My mother was waiting at my apartment for the install and is actually an employee for the landlord so if the tech had mentioned anything at all we could have had this issue resolved then before it was even an issue.
The next excuse was that it isn't available in my area at the time so they made the decision to change it. Again, without informing me. I was told that sometimes my neighbors may be able to have it but at the same time I wouldn't. Now I know that's a signal issue in terms of strength of signal for a moment in time but that wouldn't determine whether I should be able to have the services I purchased installed at all. That only means my signal won't be full 25 Mbps all the time. But I never even got the 25 installed. And all of this was told to me after I informed multiple employees that I have a confirmation email that in one case I spelled out a large portion of it to an employee that asked "how do you even know you ordered 25?".
Not one time was I asked the confirmation number to look it up.
The Complaint states that:
Mr. advises that he ordered Frontier Internet service with a speed of 25 mbps download, but received a 12 mbps speed.
Frontier has investigated the above statements and offers the following response:
· Frontier advises that we apologize for the inconvenience this issue is caused.
· Frontier advises that our records indicate that when the technician was at Mr. residence, his landlord refused the installation due to holes needing to be drilled.
· Frontier advises that we have placed an order to upgrade Mr.’s internet connection to 25 mbps.
· Frontier advises that as a courtesy we will credit the Tech installation fee for the upgraded internet connection.
· Frontier advises that we spoke to Mr. on December 26, 2019 to advise of the above.
FrontierTV, Fios is absolutely the worst company.... There customer service is incompetent at best. I have been charged repeatedly for services never received. When I call to fix issues your met with attitude and operators who act like there’s anything they would rather be doing then assisting a customer.
has to cancel service because moving to area they dont support. first, they will charge me a cancellation fee, this I understand because I signed up for a promotion, so I can see how this is fair.
however, they will charge me a full month for service use, and refuse to prorate the half month. this is unacceptable, and they should be allowed to get away with it. I also see that charter communications is doing the same thing to their customers.
on top of that, the service I had rarely works as purchased (www service constantly slow and unusable), and when I asked for prorated bill they refused. I said I wouldnt pay it and they threatened me wit collections. its $22.50, and the money isnt the point.
its unfair business practice, we need the Revdex.com to take action to protect people against this unfair practice and use of threats against customers who have 0 leverage or representation. there is no recourse for the individual against these unfair practices...if we dont pay, they destroy our credit - they need to be stopped

Frontier is the only internet provider in my area. The "service" that this company provides is absolutely terrible. I work from home as an RN doing insurance reviews and I am constantly losing connection. More often than not, the internet is out for hours at a time. There is never an ETA for restoration, leaving me without an answer for my boss as to when I can finish my hours of work. When the internet is working, its extremely slow. Regardless of how many times I have complained about the speed of the itnternet, or the CONSTANT outages, they have never offered to take $ off of our bill. We are paying for services that we are not receiving most of the time! This company is AWFUL! My colleagues that have other internet providers never have this much trouble! I am ready to move to a new location that offers a different internet provider!

1: When I signed up for Frontier, I was never informed that there would be 9.99 service fee for "Equipment Delivery and Handling Fee." I was told I would be paying 39.99 a month for WiFi service, a $10 WiFi Router fee, and would have to pay local taxes. I was never informed that there would be a 9.99 "Equipment Delivery and Handling Fee" fee on my bill.
2:There is a beeping sound coming from one of the devices because the battery needs to be replaced. I called and was told that “I” could easily replace the battery myself. I explained to the representative that I paid $75 for installation and that it should of been taken care of my installer. I was transferred and spoke with another representative and she stated that the battery was only needed if I had phone service and that I did not need it. I called numerous times because the beeping sound has continued since my service with Frontier was activated. I called numerous times was been transferred and told various things. I asked twice to speak to a supervisor and was told there was no supervisor available and that I would get a call back, which I have not received a call. I called again and expressed my frustration. This time the representative set up an appointment for an installer to come back and fix the problem. An appointment was scheduled for 12/7/19 from 1pm-5pm and no one showed up. I received a text message at 8 pm stating, "Due to an unexpected delay, your Frontier appt has moved to 12/12/19 from 1 pm to 5 pm." The beeping sound still exist which makes it hard for my wife and I to sleep. I paid 75 for installation and do not understand why the battery was not replaced. If it was an ordinary battery, I would replace it myself, but I have not had any luck finding that particular battery. I am very disappointed with the entire process.

On August 9, 2019, we contacted Frontier to port our main number to another carrier and cancel the other lines we had with them. We told them we would retain our internet service with them. They gave us confirmation numbers. We contacted them again on August 14, 2019 to confirm they had the order. They sent someone to our office to check the internet connection and confirmed the port over of our main phone number. They did not cancel the lines and continued to bill us for phone service we did not have. We did not have phone service with them starting on August 28, 2019. We called them several times to correct the billing issues. We were told they were working on it and not to pay anything until our bills were adjusted. We even received some bills with credit amounts. With no notice, on October 28, 2019, they shut off our internet because we had not paid their bill. We were able to reach the office of the President and they turned on our internet and put our account into dispute. After 6 weeks of them supposedly reviewing the case, Frontier's office of the President said they would be issuing a credit for the two months of service that we did not have and should not have been billed for. The next day, we were told there would be no credit. There was no explanation and basically they lied and said that we had never canceled the lines. They will not provide transcripts of the calls without a subpoena or court order. I had no choice but to pay the bill in full so that we would not have service interruption. Frontier basically extorts money from their clients knowing we do not have a choice in internet service. We do not owe 2 months of phone service-September and October ($592.83) or the $71.98 they charged us for internet re-connection fee for a total of $ 664.81.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Frontier basically lied about when we notified them to disconnect the additional lines that were not being ported. We ported 1 line and canceled the rest of our lines. We only kep internet service. They lied about my responses so they did not have to refund money that we are clearly owed. We clearly canceled the additional lines that we did not wish to port over to our new carrier on August 9th. Frontier will not acknowledge this. They claim we needed to contact them again to request the order again after the main number was ported. We were NEVER told this was their policy. They refuse to release transcripts of the calls without a subpoena or court order which would obviously cost us more money. We had even called Frontier on September 2 and confirmed that the only thing we owed them was the internet service which we kept. They lie and continue to claim that we didn't tell them until October so they shouldn't have to refund the two months of erroneous billing of the lines we didn't use, didn't want and never intended to keep. This is a very disreputable company. Do anything you can to avoid using their service. They have no scruples or conscience.

I have order Frontier Internet services and was given a dated of 12/10/19 to install internet from 1pm,-5pm. I received multiple confirmation request to make sure that someone over the age of 18 was at the residence during the installation process. No one showed up to install the internet so I called at 3:30pm and asked how much longer was it going to be for someone to show up. After sitting on the phone for over 45m they told me that someone should be getting in touch with me. I received a call from the installer 1655pm on 12/10/19 saying they could not install my internet due to being so dark already. That he would reschedule. I told him that I would call to reschedule. So I called at 8:30pm to find out when the next dated would be available for installation. The customer service representative informed me that they had me down for 8-12 on 12/11/19 so I called a friend to have them come to my house for the installation. I had a confirmation text message again and no one has shown up. I find this very disrespectful and for wasting my time at my job and the inconvenience.... They are very unprofessional and don't care about how they treat they clients.

I called Frontier to start service Nov. 14, 2019. I was advised I would receive my equipment on Nov. 20, 2019. It never came. I called Nov 22, 2019. They advised they messed up and would send it immediately and should be recieved by Nov. 27, 2019. Again no equipment came. I called again and they never sent it. So I cancelled my account. Note no services have been used. I recieved a confirmation cancel number. I thought all was good to go. Today is December 11, 2019. They charged my debit card for the full amount of the bill, for no service at all. I called and they were incredibly unapologetic about the situation. They said I would need to wait approximately 2 weeks before someone would call me with an answer about a refund.

I have been trying to resolve my issue with Frontier Communication since August 2019 .
My router stopped working in July 2019 .
I got a new replacement but I was asked to send back the old one .
Frontier had sent me a box with preprinted label.
The package was sent via UPS and a copy of a tracking number was given to me.
A month later $ 100 charge showed up on my bill for unreturned equipment.
I have called the customers service and reported that the equipment was returned. I was told that the charge would be removed from my bill.
Next bill came with the same $100 charge and additional $10 charge. Every since then I have been calling customer service, spending hours on a phone, asking for returned call from the supervisor with no effect. Instead I get additional $10 charge every months.
Last conversation I had with Britney today on 12/11/19 she promised that the supervisor would contact me within 45 minutes . Unfortunately did not happened.
Frontier customer service has been provided with the tracking number 1ZRA07569038298304 every time I called. People who I talked to were Dale on 08/31/19 @2:29 pm, Kelsey 11/11/19 @3:32pm, Britney 12/11/19@5:42pm.
I also asked if there is a place to file a complaint, I was told by Britney that there is no such a place all the complaints are being handle by customer service over the phone.
However I will be placing my complaint with Revdex.com , on Facebook, State of CT page and Frontiers.

We are trying to cancel Frontier and they will not complete the cancellation and continue to bill us. The cancellation is due to the fact we had been without internet or cable for over three weeks prior to Thanksgiving. We waited three separate times for service (12 hours wasted) and then they sent an issue that the issue was resolved when no one ever came to our house at all and we did not have service. We called *** and had them install service and have been trying to cancel Frontier ever since. On this bill they gave us a $3.00 credit for interruption of service. The service is still interrupted, because they never fixed it and now we just want the billing to stop.

they are without a doubt the co. to deal with waited 10 days for a return call over a credit and was told I have to have another wait and would still not be issued a credit on internet service a/c they never put a ticket in and my tuff luck have had upto 5 emails acts. at one time and still could not login to pay a bill
plus they change the email system and was hacked the next day and in order to write this I have to give a star rating which they do not qualify for
in october of this year I put my phone and internet service on winter hold, in november I received my bill for approx $28, higher than last year but reasonable. in dec I attempted to pay my bill and found it to be $83 , I contacted frontier and was told that my phone plan could not be put on winter hold so they put the entire bill back on full service. I told them I was not notified of this and if I could not put it on hold then I wanted to cancell my service. my service was cancelled on 4 dec . I waited a week for a corrected bill and in approx 10 dec I contacted frontier again to find out why my bill had not been adjusted. I was told that the company did not pro rate bills you paid for the whole month. makeing my bill of $83 correct. I chatted on line later that day with another rep and explained my problem and was told again that they did not charge for partial months I said if I was being charged for the entire month then I wanted another months service I was told I would have to start another policy with them I stopped the chat my basic complaint is : I put my nservice on winter hold in october I was billed the winter rate in november in december they decided that part of my plan could not be put on winter cycle so the entire plan was reactivated ( I was never made aware of this ) I believe I owe for 4 days in december but not the entire month , if they want an entire months bill I believe they should reactivate my service for 26 more days ( and tell me in advance )

The Complaint states that:
Mr. states he put his telephone and Internet service on winter hold but has not been billed the seasonal rates he expected.
Mr. disconnected his service on December 4, 2018 and was billed for the entire month of December at full rate.
Frontier has investigated the above statements and offers the following response:
A Frontier Representative spoke with Mr. on December 18, 2019 and apologized for his billing concerns.

Frontier thanks Mr. for being a customer and hopes that he will consider Frontier should he need services in the future. Mr. was provided direct contact information should he have any questions.
We trust that this information will assist you in closing this complaint. We apologize for any inconvenience that Mr. has experienced as a result of the above matter.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I still believe that they (frontier ) is wrong to charge for entire month. if they won't pro rate then they should continue service till end of month. however as far as I am concerned my involvement is done . I do want to thank the Revdex.com for your involvement and I am sure that frontier would never have changed thier minds with out you help .

On May 30 I reported my phone service/internet line contained static and was severe enough to make it non functional for any conversation. Internet service was spotty and unreliable. Over the course of the summer at least 4 technicians were dispatched to our location and each time I was told it was not our phone line nor equipment but the junction box across the street. The junction box if the property of Frontier Communications. I paid the June bill ($57) in good faith that the service would be restored soon. My next phone bill contained several (13) directory assistance charges. I called again and had those reversed, as we did not, nor could we make calls when our phone line was non-operational. In August we were awakened at 3:30 AM by the local police department because they were receiving 9-1-1 calls from our number but no one was on the line. I called Frontier to report this. 10 days later we had another visit at 3:30 AM from the same officer, telling us they were getting more 9-1-1 calls. When I called Frontier that time, I was told that the only way they could assure that the calls would not happen was to disconnect service. I agreed but noted that I would not be responsible for any fees related to hookup once service was restored as the issue was not related to any of my equipment or private phone line. By the end of August or early September I was told that they would fix the junction box but were being held up by the City of *** because they needed a permit to burrow under the road. I was made aware by the city that they received that permit on Sept 19. My issue is that I was still being billed for service from May 30 until Aug 23 when the phone was officially disconnected. Despite my phone calls to Frontier departments (Billing, Customer Service, Customer Care, Technical Support, and Collections) I have been unable to resolve the underlying issue which is ....I will not pay for a service I was not receiving. I also feel the $57 should be refunded to me for the month of June. Frontier Communications has now turned us over to a collection agency to collect the unpaid bills.

My old phone number was . I received a bill that was paid for $259 for services in October and paid it October 31, 2019. I was going to switch my internet services and telephone to another company which ported out my number. The other company never did come to hook anything up. Frontier had turned off my telephone services for a few days. When they turned it back on November 07, 2019 with a new phone number of , which then generated another bill for $97.47, which I paid. The billing for the old phone was from 10/22/2019 to 11/21/2019. I changed my service in the middle of the billing period due to bad service with my internet. If I paid $259 for phone number and changed services, the entire amount would not be due, it should have been prorated. I then received a statement with a credit of $110 that should have resulted in an overpayment and refunded back to me, I never got it back. Instead each time that I call Frontier, they continue to give me an excuse about the money that they owe me. Also, when I changed my tv service to *** on November 01, 2019, Frontier mailed to me a box to send their equipment back to them, which I did. In those boxes were brand new remotes that they had just sent to me and billed me a few week prior to my stopping my service. I let them know that because I had to pay for these new remotes, and I don’t carry their service anymore, that I would like to be refunded the full amount of the removes (4 total). They told me that they would. I want my refund of $110.77 that is sitting on the old account of ***-5 and the total charges for the new remote controls that were returned to them at $24.99 each (4 total) - $100

My internet provided by Frontier Communications continually drops or doesn't exist. Constant calls to Frontier turns into multiple trouble tickets without resolution. Have you called your own IT support? - long waits, hang ups, language barriers. Speaking to a tech over the phone, being told that the they don't have a record of a new modem/router registered under my name/account maybe that's why my service isn't working. Trying to read the numbers on the back of a router/modem - when I explained they were too small the person on the phone asked "if my husband or if I had a son who could read them". Wasted time away from work, 2-3 week wait for an on-site tech, when a tech shows up only to be told they're unable to repair that there aren't enough phone lines to support all customer requests. Having a tech leave and tell you the lines are repaired only to have the internet drop within minutes after they leave, start the process over by calling in, placed on hold, waiting for the next available tech timeslot, etc. An on-site tech shared that he's received trouble tickets to drop existing lines for new customer requests - when current customers complain they're having problems with internet access techs go back and alter existing lines, essentially robbing Peter to pay Paul, or that Frontier not replacing copper lines. I've had the same on-site repair Tech since I've been a Frontier customer and I've asked for someone other than him, someone who doesn't throw up his arms and say there's nothing else he can do to make it right. Paying for a service that isn't available 50% of the time.

My Internet/Cable TV contract expired and pricing increased to $192.55 per month which I can't afford. On 11/22/19 at around 6:50PM I called Frontier Communications and after talking to 2 different people, I finally agreed to a new deal for 12 months for the same EXACT Internet/Cable TV services. The price quoted was around $174 including ALL applicable taxes and fees per the representative. I was given a Confirmation #***. I kept checking my account online but the Pricing was never updated. It remained $192.55. I called back on 12/05/19 again around 6:50PM and went through everything again... and was again promised my Pricing would be corrected to around $174 for the same EXACTservices and including ALL taxes and fees. I was given a new Confirmation #***. As of today, the Pricing was still not updated on my account. So I called *** again today to try to get the Pricing updated to the Promised amount of $174 for the same EXACT Internet/Cable TV services. I spent a Total of 30 minutes between holding and speaking with someone explaining the above only to have them hang up on me. I immediately called back and spent another 20 minutes between hold and talking to someone before they decided to send me to customer retention. I spent another 30 minutes or so between hold and talking to someone explaining all of the above and that I just want the deal as Promised to me on 11/22/19. I asked if they can look up the Confirmation #'s and Confirm what I was Promised. I was advised NO. I asked if they can review the recorded tape of the conversation and the deal as Promised. Again, I was advised NO....before this person told me they can't give me that price and also hung up on me.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Frontier Communications acknowledged that their Representative offered pricing that didn't exist, and they refused to honor their Representatives quote, even though the conversation was on tape and I had a Confirmation Number. That's just bad business practices.
I'll just accept what was offered and seek other alternatives for my internet and cable services.
