Frontier Communications Reviews (4127)

This company doesn't have any idea what area it has coverage in.
I spent some where between 8 to 10 hours on the phone trying the get FIOS in my home. My area had coverage and I even did an engineering discovery ticket to make sure that install was possible. My address was approved and I ordered service, then the runaround began. Ultimately... my area is not covered by fiber, even though I can still call sales and my next door neighbor can have the service installed.
I was even given the phone number for the "office of the president". That was the most useless escalation line I have ever experienced.

They do not have customer service, the pass you on to the next person until you get so fed up with them that you hang up. I have been fighting with them for 3 months!!!!

Terrible business, they have not shown up at 3 appointments at their scheduled times to install my internet. They have wasted so much of my time.

If I could give zero Stars I would Frontier is the most unprofessional company I've ever had to deal with! When they took over the other cable company in my area a few years back I dropped them because they wanted me to sign a contract and triple the amount I was paying with the other company and their customer service reps are rude and unhelpful. On July 19th a Salesman for Frontier was going door-to-door trying to sell their business when they came to my door. I told them we dropped them a few years back due to poor customer service and the amount they were charging. This salesmen promised me that they had worked out all the Kinks since they had taken over from the and had gotten rid of all the bad customer service agents and things were now running smoothly. I told him he would have to speak to my fiance to come back later on which he did about four hours later around 7pm. He tells my fiance that they had a great deal on internet service( that's the only service we were looking for and really need it) that we could get internet for less than $60 a month plus for signing up we would get one year of *** free and $100 *** gift card if we signed up that day. My fiance figured with everything he told us it was a good deal and hearing that the customer service had changed we would be happy. They came out the following week to set up our internet service and we were told that it wouldn't work because there was a bad line that they would run a temporary line and then come back in a few days and bury a new line. Well over a week went by from the time the service was set up and the temporary line was put down and my fiance told me to call Frontier to figure out how to access the free *** that we were given in our contract and to find out when the line would be buried because he didn't want our kids tripping over it. I talked to a gentleman who tells me he could only tell me about the line and he would connect me to somebody else about the ***. He tells me that he didn't see anything on my account about the line getting buried but he would look into it, so I told him I'd call back the next day to find out the information. He then transfers me to someone else about the *** thing, The customer service lady that I spoke to tells me that I should have received an email with the code for the ***. I explain that I didn't she asked if I checked Spam folders and my junk mail and I said yes and then she tells me that they'd been backed up and she gives me a code for the free prime. The following day I'm outside and a truck pulls up, apparently it was the guy who was supposed to be burying my line he must have been contracted out by Frontier because he wasn't in a frontier vehicle and didn't have a frontier sign on his vehicle. When I seen him it reminded me that I needed to use that code for our ***. I went to get the paper that I wrote the code down on and realized it was gone. So I contacted Frontier again and I was given another code. Mind you the guy is still outside trying to bury the line in my yard, he trenched maybe 10 ft and then I heard him say to his helper he didn't have enough line that he needed 140 ft and only had 137 feet then he left. After he left I tried to use the code for the *** but it kept saying invalid, so I contact ***. *** tell me that its because I already have prime that I can't use the code(I had a little less than a month on my membership at the time) the *** customer service representative told me if I wanted to use the code I would have to end my membership that I had left then use the code to begin the new one-year membership and the code would Work. So I did everything she said and tried to use the code again and it didn't work still saying invalid, that's when a *** supervisor got on the phone. The supervisor asked me how many digits the code was I told her it was 13 and she told me the codes for that had to be 16 digits long that I needed to contact Frontier. I contacted Frontier on their chat while I had *** on the phone and the rude Frontier customer service girl told me that I didn't get *** I only had the $100 visa Gift card with my contract. I had explained to her that I already had been given two codes that didn't work and it was clearly written on my contract that the salesmen wrote up and she said even if I did have *** free for year I wouldn't receive the code for 90 days. I then copied & pasted Frontiers policy from the their help Center on their website into the chat that stated if you got *** as a promotion you would receive the code within one week of receiving your service. About 5 minutes goes by and this customer service rep does not respond back and then just ends the chat. I explained to the *** supervisor what happened and she asked me to call Frontier on three way so I do. During the hour and 18 minute call with Frontier, me, and *** I'm told again that I am not getting the *** free for a year and she didn't see it anywhere on my contract. The *** supervisor spoke up and said it's written right on her contract I've seen it myself that's why I'm on this phone call. The salesmen told them they would get *** free for a year and $100 *** gift card if they signed up which they did and it's written on their contract. The frontier lady says if they were to get that they wouldn't get the code for 90 days from the first bill being paid. I asked why did their help center say that we would receive it within one week of installation and if we didn't to contact them and why had I already been given two codes. The *** supervisor even repeated the same thing I did and the customer service rep just kept saying they don't get it. Both myself and the *** supervisor asked to speak to a supervisor and We were told there was no supervisor for us to speak with. This was the second time by two different Frontier customer service Representatives that refused to let me talk to a frontier supervisor. I then asked for the telephone number and email to corporate and the Frontier customer service representative told me she could not give out that information that I would have to get it from the supervisor that they wouldn't let me talk to. I finally just ended the conversation with the frontier customer service rep tell me a supervisor would contact me within 24-48hrs which never happened. The *** Supervisor was so aggravated at the way I was being treated and how the whole situation went she contacted her head boss on the issue. The next day I posted a few things on social media trying to get someone higher up in the frontier company to speak to me since I was getting refused by their customer service Representatives and that has gotten me no where. I called again the following day to find out when my line was going to be buried and again they told me there was no schedule or information and they didn't know when someone would come out. So I spend 4 days(Monday-thursday)trying to get answers about my line being buried and the *** prime to get no where. I also called the salesmen who signed us up after all the calls to frontier and he told me that, YES we were to get the ***. On Friday I had to go out of town, I left Friday afternoon and came back Saturday afternoon, when I came back Saturday afternoon I realized the line was gone but it hadn't been buried. The line they told me that I had to have to make my service work was gone wasn't buried and since that line has disappeared my internet is constantly dropping and not working like it was when that temporary line was in place. Frontier will tell you what ever they need to for a new contract, even if it means breaking their own contract. If a customer was to back out of their contract it would be a different story. I think it's wrong that their customer service treats people so badly and frontier thinks it's ok. I'm not happy at all with the whole situation.

I would give a 0 star rating if I could. I asked if service was available at my new homes location and was told that it was so we signed up. I was told we had to wait 2 weeks before installation could be done and we said ok. The tech was supposed to show up at our house between 8 and 12 which he never did. At 2 my wife called and we were told that they had no notes on the tech being at our home and he should be here by 5. He never showed and after 3 more calls 2 of them 5 min apart they magically had notes that said he was at our house and we had no ports available. This supposed tech never bothered to stop and tell us we couldn’t receive service and yet a person in Virginia knows that he showed up at my home. I live in Illinois by the way. They didn’t have an answer for their poor service so they made up an excuse why we can’t have it. I guess I should work for frontier and collect a check for not doing anything or showing up at properties. I can just make up excuses why they can’t have it.

I pay for their internet service. $60. A month. My modem disconnects from the internet when I am not home. Therefore my camera to watch over the house does not work when I am away. I manually have to restart the modem when I get home. I contacted Frontier 4 times in the last 2 months about the problem. They never fix the problem. So I am paying for a service through them that is worthless. Tired of being ripped off when I am a hard working individual. Thank you so much.

On April 2019 I contacted frontier-wS told bill not in my name. Explained I had sent copy of death certificate in Nov 2007 when my husband passed & has never been taken care of. She say I can take care of this. She ended up finalizing that acc’t (never told me she was doing this).set me up on new acc’t. Consequently my auto pay & rate I was on did not carry forward. In May I get a disconnect notice(have never received bill). I call and find I have been set on new acc’t. So I pay over phone to avoid disconnection. Reset auto pay. They ended up taking $746.03 +3.50 chg out of my checking account. In the mean time I have credit on finagled acc’t. My bill prior had been $191.17.
To this day I have never received a bill in the mail. One girl e-mailed me a copy of May & June bills. I find my broadband has gone up $20.00.
So far I have talked w/20+people(countless hours) and no one can seem to get a bill mailed to me. Saturday talked w/Michael he would not let me talk to a supervisor-said he had done everything that could be done. Iened up mailing payment w/account # as I have no bill to send.
It’s time for action here!!
Note-I did take off auto pAy after they took the $746. Out of my acc’t.

A tree fell and knocked out the electric on June 29 2019, it was fixed completely fixed the next day. My frontier internet went out with the electric but never came back on. I called frontier and did their troubleshooting which did not work. They scheduled an appointment for July 25th 2019, which is way too long for a service provider to be backed up that far. I called the day of the appointment to make sure nothing had changed. Frontier claims a technician came out before this and tested the lines and everything was good but my internet was still not working. Called frontier again and talked to a manager, had to go through the troubleshooting process again, did not work. I was told the next appointment they had was August 9th. I reluctantly said okay. By the time I got off the phone with frontier, my appointment had been moved back to August 14th. In addition, I called technical support several times in between these dates trying to get my internet to work. Which brings me to today, aug 12th. I called frontier once again to check on my appointment and this appointment was cancelled and she did not know why. Then I was given the same excuse as before that a technician came out and checked the lines before my appointment. I have been paying for a service I have not been able to use since the end of June. Frontier will not return calls like they say they will. I estimate I have spent well over twelve hours on the phone with them trying to resolve my issue. All I need is for them to schedule an appointment and show up to my home to remedy the problem like they should have.

THIS TIME: My *** would not recognize my network or password. Frontier said to call ***. *** came out RIGHT AWAY and said it is a Frontier issue. When I called in for help, I was obligated to go through hours of "troubleshooting steps" - then my internet stopped working completely, not just my . I was told to go buy a DSL filter. Made no difference. I want my internet back and I do not want to spend 6 hours a day, day after day, on the phone with Frontier. This has been going on for several days and to say I won't have repairs until the end of the month is unacceptable. Calling in for tech support actually made the problem much worse. Now I am using my mobile phone hotspot to get online which costs more money, in addition to the bills from Frontier. Once last year I was accidentally reconnected to a wrong number and since then apparently "have two accounts". When I call in, I have trouble getting verified because the account info does not match. I have had the same phone number for 35 years! It is an endless nightmare of problems...

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The internet problem has not been resolved. The system continues to go out. I have to reset the modem multiple times per day. This has been going on since the day after I spoke to the representative from Frontier and had told her (I thought) that everything was resolved. I do not have hours to sit on hold to speak to Frontier concerning this matter as my experience in the past has only resulted in unanswered service calls or being disconnected. I have already wasted enough of my time doing this and have gotten nowhere! I am beyond frustrated with Frontier.

Frontier had a technician go out to her location on August 20, 2019 and found that wires were worn and needed to be replaced and buried. Frontier is issuing a credit for 3 months of service for all of Ms.’s trouble. Frontier spoke to Ms. on August 23, 2019 and advised of this. Frontier advises a service change order was generated on March 19, 2019, to remove the landline service and upgrade the internet speed, with a due date of April 5, 2019. Frontier advises the available internet speed depends on the distance from Frontier’s closest facilities. Ms.’s location is 13,000 feet from the nearest Frontier facilities. Frontier advises a service change order was generated on October 23, 2019, to downgrade the internet speed, with a due date of October 25, 2019. We have scheduled several internet and/or phone install appointments since April 2019. A tech came out once in April and began the install, then left because he wasnt getting paid overtime and was calling off work the next day. Since then, we have been stood up six times on six scheduled appointments. No one calls us to tell us they are not coming. Either my husband or I drive 2 hours to this location to sit and wait for 6 hours on a technician, that doesnt show. This is our second home and there is no cell service. So we are in need of some type of communication in case of emergencies or just to do any type of business, or check on our children. Our surrounding neighbors have phone and internet. Unsure of why they will not service us. We've wasting multiple days waiting. This costs us time and money, on top of the fact that this is extremely poor customer service.

I have had frontier service since 2013. I have always have some issues but never the amount that I have had over the last month. I have been without internet since july 10th 2019 to today 7/12/2019 and a technician was scheduled to come out last week and I confirmed two days before they were to come to my house and I was still scheduled for a tech and it was confirmed . Two days later the day of the said service appointment I called again and the could not find my ticket number and stated that it had been completed several days prior. Which it had not I still did not have service. My bill was originally adjusted due to the fact that I had not had internet services for the whole billing cycle. But when I called about seeing if I could get it lowered some more( keep in mind they are charging me close to $100 for services I did not receive. I orginally got it dropped to $43 still ridiculous but better that the starting price) they inform me my account had been audited and I now ow the original price. I still do not have internet and the tech is not scheduled till 8/14/2019 and the only reason it was scheduled for this time is because I threw a fit when they told me the earliest they could come out was 8/20/2019. So needless to say I am very dissatisfied with their service and will be canceling my service with them shortly because I see no point in paying for something that I have no access to. Most of the customer service techs I talked to were very nice but this is a ridiculous amount to pay for a service that they failed to provide me.

This is the worst company. Customer service lies to you so they can take you for more money then charges their story and doesn’t care when you catch them at it. Does not care about the customer. I will never use them ever again.

There needs to be a ZERO star rating option. Our internet service is the most unreliable that I have experienced since the internet first became available to the home. The service technicians often do not show up to your home, even when you are asked to be home, resulting in loss in personal income. That is again my situation today. When I called in during the last of the four hour window I was confirmed for as of this morning, I was told "Sorry sir, it is now after hours and no way to contact the technician." Nice...I am home during the entire time they are supposed to show, and no updates to explain the current status. Just not going to happen today. I wish this was a one-time situation, but it is not. Only after several such instances, and for my neighbors, have I been worked up to the point where I'm taking more of my personal time to document my dissatisfaction. Whoever is running that operation ought to be fired!!! When you call their Technical Support line, they remind you of all their great on-line ways in which to search your own problem or communicate with their teams...however...they forget the fact that the vast majority of people on hold, are on hold because they DON'T HAVE internet. Brilliant! I have never in my life been moved to rip on a company like I am Frontier Communications. I have never once use the Revdex.com...but tonight I am, and I am trusting there is a reason the Revdex.com has survived all these years. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have internet service through Frontier. Internet which works when it wants to. This is a DAILY issue. this is not every now and then. This is DAILY. Multiple times a day! I have called to have it fixed but by the time they have someone available, my internet is working so it cannot be fixed (because to them, it is not broken). I have asked for a credit on my bill, nothing. I have asked why it is going out, nothing. They continue to tell me "the good news is there is not an outage in your area." That is terrible news. If there were an outage that would at least explain why I am receiving such terrible service for a product that I am paying for on time each month.
I was assigned an "account manager" who then told me I need to contact someone else. When I contact this person, the phone rings with no answer or voicemail to leave a message. My emails to my account manager have gone unanswered, only to be told I need to call the phone number I was provided (that leads nowhere).
I know their troubleshoot by heart. I go through it each time it happens, and prior to calling in. Calling in takes hours of my evening while I go through the same troubleshoot process I just did. Only to be told they need to send a tech out. Who then gets cancelled because my internet is working at that time. I am 100% fed up with it.
I have never been late on a payment, my acct is on auto-pay. All I have repeatedly asked for is a credit for the time I have not been able to use the product I am paying for. I do not expect to pay for something I cannot use. However, I was charged a full payment today.
And more importantly, I am asking for a product that works.

The Complaint states that:
Ms. advises that she has been experiencing intermittent connectivity issues with her internet service from Frontier over an extended amount of time. Ms. advises that her account needs to be credited for the ongoing problems she has had with the service. Frontier has investigated the above statements and offers the following response:
Frontier advises that a field technician was sent to Ms.’s home on September 23, 2019, who was able to restore the service by replacing some of the cabling on the outside.
Frontier advises that a credit has been issued to the customer’s account based on the number of days that the most recent repair ticket was opened, and also for previous trouble tickets as well.
Frontier spoke with Ms. on September 24, 20109, and she confirmed that her internet connection has been stable and working properly ever since the technician completed the repair ticket.

We trust that this information will assist you in closing this complaint. We regret any inconvenience that Ms. may have experienced as a result of the above matter.

I have experienced terrible internet service both at the aforementioned business and home service at the same time. Customer service issues at the very start with technicians not showing up and many hours of waiting on the phone to speak to someone only to get disconnected.
I had no internet service for several hours each day. Service would cut in and out. At the same time I started having issues at home with Internet service slow service and not enough power to reach the back of a 900 square foot home. When I called to compain each time they kept me on hold for two hours after waiting a half hour just to speak to someone . Issues never resolved. They finally talked my husband into increasing the Internet service strength and pay more money which he did. We then had better service for a week and it was back to the same poor service. I then called again and after another two hours with a technician on the phone trying to change to frequency so I could get better service. ( btw, they told me I had to troubleshoot with them before they sent out a technician.) Before I ended the call I asked the technician to stay on the line so I could check to see if it worked, she assured me there was no need, everything was fine by changing the frequency so and I hung up. Well it was not better in fact it was so bad that now my television was buffering. The next day I went to work and had not Internet service again. I called Frontier and explained all of this for another two hours and said that I want to cancel service at the business. They told me that they were going to charge me a $ 500 early termination fee, which they did. I have spend about eight hours explaining to supervisor and customer service reps. to the same outcome. They say because there was no complaint ticket on the business they are charging me. I asked them to look into the line and see that there was not enough bandwidth or something on my line. They said they could not do this. I feel it is a scam by trying to wear people down with hours on the phone and hang ups. Never showing up. What hard working person has two hours to spend on the phone? I am looking to get credit for all the hours I did not have service and I am also looking for a credit they charged for early termination. I will then have my husband do the same for our home service. Thank you!

The Complaint states that:
Ms. advises she has had terrible customer service from Frontier for both her business and residential lines. These issues include technicians that never show up and many hours of waiting on the phone to speak to someone only to get disconnected. Ms. had slow Internet speeds, and inadequate service at times. Ms. has decided to cancel her services and has been billed an early termination fee. Ms. is looking to have the early termination fee waived and to have credit issued for all the hours she didn’t have service. I have just canceled service. For the last 3 years, I have been billed $10/month for a router that I do not possess. I spent hours on the phone with customer service only to be told regardless if I do or do not have it, they need to bill me for it as its part of my package. I have been using my own router so this is unfair and not right.

Frontier Communications

Thank you for referring the complaint of Mr. *** to our office for review. We appreciate Mr. bringing this matter to our attention.
The Complaint states that:
Mr. advises he just canceled his Frontier Internet service. Mr. states that he has been billed $10/month for a router he doesn’t have for the last three years. He would like a refund for the money he paid. Frontier has investigated the above statements and offers the following response:
The Frontier Residential Gateway (router) is Frontier equipment provided with every service order and specifically designed to work with our service. Our advertising and our residential internet terms and conditions make it clear that our service includes equipment charges, such as the router charge, and neither our advertisements nor our terms and conditions provide any exceptions. A customer may choose to use their own router, but if the customer does, our router charge continues to apply. Also, we cannot support or repair the non-Frontier equipment. Frontier found that Mr. was on a promotion until December 14, 2018 that waived the router fee until that date. Frontier spoke to Mr. about this information on August 22, 2019 and he wanted to review his statements at that time. Frontier sent an email to Mr. on August 23, 2019 and advised of this information. We trust that this information will assist you in closing this complaint. We regret any inconvenience that Mr. may have experienced as a result of the above matter.

In April of 2017 I called Frontier to change our account from my mother’s name to my name and to change the phone number. I told the customer service person that I was just needing a basic phone with caller ID, call waiting, unlimited long distance and we wanted an unlisted phone number. I was told our phone bill should be $27.99 plus tax each month. I was given a phone number at the time and it was suggested to just change the name on the account instead of closing her account and opening a new one. After about a week our phone number had not been changed. I called a few more times and each time I was given a new number for our phone. The phone number didn’t change until around June. When I received my first bill it was a lot higher than I expected, I called and explained that my bill should not be that high and the customer service rep did something on their end and corrected my bill. This happened for the next several months, until I talked to someone and they informed me that we were being charged for both our new number AND the previous number associated with this address. That customer service representative corrected that issue and we have not had that issue since. I had been receiving monthly bills that ranged from $100 to $150 per month. For about the first year I called almost monthly complaining of the crazy high amount and no one seemed to know why, I stopped getting paper bills or bills through my email in Dec 2017, even though I have asked many times for them. Every time I would call they would do something in the computer, say they figured out the problem, they would credit me and say the problem was fixed. Each time I call it takes well over an hour trying to get everything fixed. After a while I honestly just didnt want to deal with them so I would pay what I knew we were supposed to be charged (the same amount that all the adjustments and credits came out to minus the unauthorized plan charges). December of 2017 was the last time I received a bill until about 2 months ago. I stopped receiving all communication from Frontier until Aug 2018 and that was a past due notice (I was not past due, I had only been paying what I was supposed to pay and not the incorrect amount I was being charged. Now I had been making payments and most of the time I didn’t feel like dealing with the hassle and stress of calling Frontier and being transferred many times to get my bill corrected. EVERY single month my bill was incorrect. I made payments for what I was told I should be paying and I even made some payments with the amount that the bill was showing. I felt that if I had paid a bill for $214.39 and my bill was only supposed to be about $45 after taxes that I was paying for roughly 4 months of service. Every few months I would call and explain that my bill was too high and it would be corrected and everything was supposed to be evened out. Then in around August of 2018 I talked to someone and they told me that the reason my bill was so high was because we were being charged for long distance calls. Once I was told the problem I told them that I wanted to be put on the phone plan that I had agreed to and I wanted all of my phone bills to be checked and I wanted everything adjusted correctly. I explained that where I live everything is practically long distance, even our cell phones so that doesn’t work for us. I told the customer service rep that when I called and had the phone service put in my name that I had told them that I NEEDED unlimited long distance. Monthly bills of an average of $150 a month is extremely high for a landline phone and that is not something I would ever choose. The person I was talking to agreed and even informed me that the charge for an unlimited long distance plan was only like $5 or $10 a month. Obviously that charge would make sense to me and would be beneficial. She then transferred me to someone else so that I could open a dispute, That person then told me that a dispute could not be opened until I paid my outstanding balance (I shouldn’t have had an outstanding balance if I had been charged correctly to begin with) Frustrated, but wanting to get this taken care of once and for all I went ahead and paid the “past due balance” of $241.85 and a dispute was then opened. I still wasn’t receiving and bills or emails or anything from Frontier unless it was threatening at this point. I believe it was Dec 2018 or Jan 2019 when I called again and was told that my dispute was closed with no resolution, I asked that another dispute be opened with more of an explanation that in April of 2017 when I FIRST called Frontier someone made a mistake and put us on the wrong plan, that I was being financially penalized for nearly 2 years now and that this is unacceptable and that they need to correct this once and for all. I have also asked to be sent all my past bills and my payment history so that I could calculate everything because at this point I believe Frontier owes me money for all the fraudulent charges and not the other way around. I again was told that a dispute would be opened. From Jan 2018 to April 2019 I paid a total of $978.62, if my bills and everything was correct and I was being charged the correct amount of around $45 a month then that exact amount would cover roughly 21.739 months of service, so I would not be behind or past due. In April I got a letter in the mail (this was the first time I’ve received any kind of communication since Dec 2017) saying I had a past due balance of $473.09 (I made a $200 payment in March and another $100 payment in April before I received this notice), now if I had paid a total of $978.62 in a year and a half how would this be correct? I called Frontier AGAIN and once again after explaining all the issues I’ve had for 2 years and being transferred to 7 different customer service reps I was told that my dispute was dismissed. I was also told that the notes in my account say that I declined unlimited long distance, this is absolutely false, I have never once declined it, I have been begging for it for 2 years. I have no idea why that note would be there, I’m sure if you listened to the audio of my calls you would be able to verify this. I still haven’t had any kind of resolution in over 2 years now. I have asked and begged for my phone plan to be corrected to what I had agreed to when I started service with Frontier. After my phone call in April I have absolutely had it, I told the lady on the phone to either fix my bill and my plan and to just cancel my phone service. Within 2 years of me calling and asking for my plan and bills to be corrected I’ve spoken with well over 100 different associates, many have seen the issue and have tried to fix it but unfortunately that only corrects one bill at a time and not past and future bills and my actual plan. I don’t know if someone forgot to check a box that includes unlimited long distance charges or what, but after nothing but problems from Frontier for over 2 years now I’m pretty upset. I am asking for any and all so called “past due” charges to be corrected and removed, I am also asking that customer service representatives be retrained so that this doesn’t happen to anyone else, there is absolutely no reason for a landline phone to cost more every month then a cell phone plan with unlimited data, unlimited calls, unlimited texts for 2 phones.

Thank you for referring the complaint of Ms. to our office for review. We appreciate this matter being brought to our attention.

Frontier has investigated the above statements and offers the following response:
Frontier advises that the customer subscribed to the Digital Phone Essentials phone service which included LD with up to 30minutes LD calling. Please note LD calls after 30mins were billed at $0.10cents per minute.
Research determined that the customer was going over the LD minutes. In addition, this account has had a recurring past due balance since the April 22, 2018 billing statement.
Our records indicate that on October 5, 2018 Ms. spoke with a Frontier representative regarding her Frontier bills. During this contact, the representative explained the above information and went over the billing in detail. The representative explained that there was a recurring past due balance which was reflected on the monthly billing statements. The representative explained that Frontier has different phone plans and that he could upgrade her to Frontier’s Unlimited LD phone plan at $32.99 plus taxes and surcharges. The customer declined.
The account was disconnected effective June 17, 2019.
The current account balance is $837.82. The charges are valid and sustained.
On August 30, 2019 I left a message for Ms. and provided my contact number.

We trust that this information will assist you in closing this complaint. We apologize for any inconvenience that the customer may have experienced as a result of this matter.

Paid the bill early due to account stating over due. Auto pay comes 10 days later to charge account even with a zero balance. Due to this second payment, I had several things bounce back and their customer service account manager will not call me about my complaint. They said they would refund my money instead they apply it to my next bill and don’t process a refund. It has been 2 weeks since I called and they said they would refund my money.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I have provided Frontier with bank statements showing that $105.54 was pulled twice. They did not review this, all they reviewed was the NSF fee and they did not remove that even when it was shown. I am willing to pay today if the NSF Fee and late fee is removed. I can provide the documents again.

Thank you for referring the complaint of Ms. our office for review. We appreciate this matter being brought to our attention.

Frontier has investigated the above statements and offers the following response:
Frontier maintains its initial response.
On September 18, 2019 I emailed the following information to Ms.:
This email is a follow-up to our conversation on September 12, 2019 regarding your Revdex.com complaint received in our office. Thank you for referring this matter to our office for review. We appreciate the opportunity to assist you.
After further review, (2) payments of $105.54 were debited from your account by Frontier however; (1) of the payments failed. The failed payment of $105.54 was debited from your account however; this payment was returned as NSF either by dispute/stop payment from you or the funds were not available.
The first bill dated May 4, 2019 total amount due was $56.36 for services rendered from May 4th to June 3rd, 2019 due by May 28, 2019. Payment in the amount of $42.05 posted to the June bill. The June 4, 2019 contained a past balance of $56.36. Credit of $14.31 was issued. Once the above payment and credit adjustment posted the account was current. The current charges of $45.55 (services rendered from June 4th to July 3rd) due by June 28, 2019. The July 4, 2019 bill contained a past due balance of $45.55 from the previous bill. The past due balance combined with the current charges of $59.99 (services rendered from July 4th to August 03rd) brought the total amount due to $105.54 due by July 29, 2019. Payments totaling $211.08 posted to the August bill. The August 04, 2019 bill contained a past due balance of $105.54 from the previous bill. Once the above payments posted a credit balance of $105.54 was generated. The credit balance combined with the current charges of $56.38 generated a remaining credit balance of $49.16 (refunded to you). According to our records, the following payments were initiated by you via Frontier website as one-time payments, there was no active auto-pay or auto-draft on this account: payment of $42.05 submitted on May 20th, 2019, payment of $105.54 submitted on July 19, 2019, payment of $105.54 on July 29, 2019 “failed”. One payment of $105.54 was successful however; one payment of $105.54 was later returned as a “failed” payment. The current balance is $141.35. These charges are valid and sustained. According to the UPS records, the return labels for the Frontier equipment was left at the office on September 18, 2019. On October 2, 2019 I spoke with Ms. and explained the resolution. During this contact, she advised that she disagreed however; she wanted the Late Payment Charge (LPC) and NSF fee credited. I advised Ms. that I would credit the LPC however; the NSF was sustained. After further review, there was LPC billed. The Residential Broadband fee of $9.99 posted to the September bill once the account was disconnected. I credited the Residential Broadband fee of $9.99. The current balance is $131.36.

We trust that this information will assist you in closing this complaint. We apologize for any inconvenience that the customer may have experienced as a result of this matter.
