Front Royal Pediatrics sent out a letter asking if patients who wanted to switch to another doctor's office wanted their medical records releasedThis new doctor had been previously employed at Front Royal Pediatrics and had left abruptly due to a negative situationThere was no cost represented on the paper signed for medical realeaseWe signed the paper because we wanted to switchWithin a week we received another letter stating it would be $and then they sent the medical records prior to us authorizing them to charge us the $50.00(which we would not have authorized had we known up front)I have called the business and left a message with the billing manager but haven't received a call back and it has been well over weeks(9/12/2016)We were patients at that facility for less than a year and did not go frequentlyNot only is this an over charge but it is a charge without us authorizingWe authorized the release of the information not the charge itself

client did not understand that this included routine charges such as record fees, a standard practice with all medical offices. To resolve this apparent misunderstanding, we have contacted the client by mail to provide copies of this documentation for the authorization for payment and have taken the added step to provide reimbursement for the record fees to demonstrate our good faith. We have no record of any message left disputing charges, and our billing staff would have been happy to discuss the matter had we been informed.Thank you for your assistance in resolving this matter, and we have urged the client in writing to contact us if further assistance is needed.Sincerely,
