Frog and Towed Automotive

Review: On September 24 a Frog and Towed tow-truck driver knocked over a dogwood tree in my yard by backing into it. There were witnesses, and he had no business on the street. Apparently he was lost. He said he would pay for a replacement. He wrote what he said was his name and phone number on a piece of paper. My bad for not taking a photo of him and the truck and for not asking to see a driver’s licence. The phone number doesn't work, and the supervisor said nobody by that name works for the company. At her request I described the driver, and she said all her drivers look like that. She claimed no Frog and Towed truck was in the area that day. She asked, “Do you know how many calls I get like this?” She seemed to imply she gets quite a lot. Could be – I had called about this some 12 days earlier. She said she’d get back to me the next day. Never happened. I gave her some time and then I called back, leading to the conversation just described.Desired Settlement: Reimbursement to replace the tree their driver destroyed. Total cost was $555.75 - $325 for the tree itself, $211.25 for planting, and $19.50 sales tax. I have the receipt.
