RevDex.com RE: COMPLAINT ID [redacted] VEHICLE REPAIRS WE REPAIRED THE ABOVE PARTIES VEHICLE AS HE DESCRIBES, IT WAS OVERHEATING AS HE DESCRIBED. WE TESTED THE COOLiNG SYSTEM AND THEN WE CALLED HIM TO ADVISE HIM THAT THERE WAS A SEVERE COOLANT LEAK BEHIND THE TIMING COVER AND THAT WOULD HAVE TO BE REPAIRED TO COMPLETELY FINISH TESTING THE COOLING SYSTEM. HE AGREED AND WAS GIVEN A PRICE TO REPAIR THE LEAK AT THIS TIME HE WAS ALSO TOLD UP FRONT THAT THE VEHICLE HAS A HISTORY OF HEAD GASKET LEAKAGE WHEN THEY ARE OVERHEATED AND HOPEFULLY HIS WOULD BE O.K. HE SAID HE HAD NOT OVERHEATED IT TOO MANY TIMES AND WAS ONLY TAKING SHORT TRIPS DUE TO THE OVERHEATING PROBLEM. HE TOLD US TO PROCEED WITH THE REPAIRS. AFTER THE REPAIRS WE DROVE THE VEHICLE AND IT DID NOT OVERHEAT.WE WERE GLAD ALL WORKED OUT WELL. WELL AS IT SEEMS THE PROBLEM WAS STILL THERE. HE RETURNED SOME DAYS LATER AND SAID THE VEHICLE WAS AGAIN OVER HEATING. HE LEFT THE VEHICLE SO WE COULD TEST OVERNIGHT AFTER DRIVING IT QUITE A BIT WE FOUND THAT THE CAR WENT HIGH INTO THE TEMP RANGE BUT NEVER OVERHEATED OR LOST COOLANT. WE PROCEEDED TO DO A HEAD GASKET TEST AND FOUND HYDROCARBONS IN THE COOLING SYSTEM. A MINOR LEAK of COOLANT INTO THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER. HE SAID HE COULD NOT AFFORD To SPEND ANY MORE MONEY ON THE VEHICLE HE WAS THEN TOLD TO PURCHASE A SEALER KIT SOLD AT PARTS STORES AND WE WOULD INSTALL IT FOR HIM AND HOPEFULLY CURE HIS PROBLEM. HE AGREED AND LEFT WITH THE VEHICLE THAT IS WHEN WE GET A LETTER FROM THE B.B.B. HE WAS TOLD UP FRONT THAT REPAIRING THE LEAK NHS VEHICLE MAY NOT BE THE FINAL REPAIR NEEDED, THE COOLING SYSTEM WAS EMPTY WHEN THE VEHICLE ARRIVES AT OUR FACILITY... HE DOES NOT DESERVE A REFUND OF ANY KIND,WE DID OUR JOB WELL AND WOULD HAVE CONTINUED FURTHER IF FINANCES WERE AVAILABLE To MR. DAVIDsoN. WE HAVE BEEN HERE FOR FORTY YEARS AND WE DO OUR BEST FOR ALL CUSTOMERS. IF HE WANTS, WE CAN TRYTHE SEALER FIX TO REPAIR THE GASKETS, AND HOPEFULLY WORK O.K. GUARANTEE.....
