French Cleaners

Ibrought 2 skirts in to be dry cleaned on September 13, 2014, I picked up the skirts on Sept 17th via the drive through collection window. Paid $21.80. On Thursday took plastic off and noticed one skirt very faded and looked aged. Skirt was worn one season and was in excellent condition, recommended dyr cleaningso I dry cleaned. Brought the skirt back onSept 19th asked to speak to a manager about the ruined garment. I was told "It was not their fault", and they didi not know which person dry cleaned it. I was given $5.00 and some change even though I had my receipt, I was not fully rembursed for the skirt cleaning, and there was no accountability for the damage.Desired SettlementAt a bare minimal I should have been fuly rembursed for the cost of dry cleaning which was $10.90. However I lost a great skirt and money. I think they should have taken responsibility and told me the skirt was damaged beforehand, never charged me and given me a store credit for the damaged garment $25.00.Business Response [redacted] was refunded the cost of cleaning for skirt that was faded. I contacted Ms.[redacted] by phone and asked her the replaceable amount of skirt she said she bought it at a boutique shop and probably paid way to much for the skirt. She was upset that her cost of cleaning was 21.80. She was thinking she brought in just two skirts but she brought in a dress also. I see that the complaint states she put a replacement value of the skirt of 25.00 We will put a check in the mail to replace the garment. French CleanersConsumer Response I was asked by the company what the skirt cost, at the time I did not know, but knew I paid a lot. I also looked at the label and realized it was a designer skirt. I called the boutique and they pulled up my receipt and told me the skirt was $139.99. The compensation for the damage aShould be $60.00
