To whom it may concern;
     The [redacted]’s
purchased the referenced transmission from Freeway Transmissions and installed
it on their own.  Freeway’s written
warranty (which was provided to...

the [redacted]’s at the time of purchase) for do-it-yourself
transmissions is 12 months or 12,000 miles for parts only.  Freeway’s limited transmission warranty
states, “No labor will be paid on do-it-yourself installs.” Unfortunately the
transmission failed after a couple of months which prompted the complaint. 
     Therefore, as
a gesture of good will I have agreed with Mari [redacted] to remove the purchased
transmission and reinstall another transmission for $[redacted] including tax. The
$[redacted] (normally $[redacted]) covers the labor to remove the warranty transmission and
reinstall the replacement transmission. The
replacement transmission is covered under warranty at no charge. Since Freeway
is installing the replacement transmission the warranty for the transmission will
be for 12 months or 12,000 miles for parts and labor. The [redacted]’s can discuss
any future concerns, if any, directly with me.
