Mr. [redacted]. Freeway Ford did sell Ms. [redacted] a 2002 Dodge Intrepid on 8/11/16. This vehicle was sold as is which is stated on the buyers order and signed off by the customer with the statement - Vehicle sold as is. No warranty . No repairs. After being contacted by Ms. [redacted] regarding the vehicle...
malfunctioning U had the vehicle towed in for us to inspect. We brought the vehicle to a repair shop by us that specializes on this make of car and had them diagnose it. At first they determined that the water pump was bad and needed to be replaced which I agreed to pay for however after starting to do the repairs it was determined that more damage had been done because the car had been driven hot. This damaged the engine beyond repair. After determining that we could not repair the car I spoke with a [redacted] who said he was Ms. [redacted]'s brother. I explained the situation regarding the repair and told him I would offer a credit towards another vehicle. He seemed pleased with our discussion and said he was going to call me back. After a few days Ms. [redacted] called me and said that she had not heard about our discussion and that it was her car and she needed something to happen now. Her request was for her money back which I declined. She was not satisfied with any other offer. I have done all that I can do and paid for all charges associated with towing and having mechanical charges taken care of. This again was a sold as is - no repair - no warranty vehicle.I am happy to provide and further information or documentation. Sincerely,Mark [redacted]General Manager Freeway Ford
