Good Afternoon Revdex.com,Thank you for forwarding this complaint to us.I have reviewed all records associated with this service event and personally spoken to both technicians involved. We received a dispatch for a [redacted] dishwasher on 01/04/2016 with a complaint of not cleaning the top rack. On...
01/06/2016 we reported to the home. We found a broken chopper blade in the sump assembly. Our technician used a shop vacuum to remove water from the unit, laid a towel on the floor to collect a small amount of residual water while removing the sump assembly. Following, our technician replaced the sump assembly. The technician then ran the unit through diagnostics mode. All operations tested correctly. On 01/08/2016 we received a call from the customer stating the unit was leaking and caused floor damage. A second technician reported to the home on 01/08/2016. We documented floor damage and noted what appeared to be soapy water on the floor. Technician ran the unit on normal wash twice. No leaking was found. We wish to be fair in handling this claim, but based on the surrounding facts and all evidence available at this time, we are unable to conclude liability for this floor damage claim. The unit was left in good working order by the first technician and the second technician was unable to find the source of the leak.At this time, we advise that the customer contact his home owner's insurance to file a claim. If I may be of further assistance regarding this concern, please feel free to reach out to me.Best Regards,Adam B[redacted]Fred's Appliance, LLCVice [email protected]
Hello Revdex.com,Thank you for the forwarded complaint.I have reviewed the records again. I greatly apologize for the confusion. As previously stated, it is outside of the norm that we do not have a 1 year warranty on parts, that's what led to the confusion. The invoice that was supplied in the previous response clearly states no warranty on the part as the customer elected to install. If customer agrees to pay our service call and labor charge to install, we will make an exception and supply the part at no charge. Please let me know if customer accepts, and we will get the ball rolling on finishing this repair.Best Regards,Adam ButcherFred's Appliance, LLCVice President
