call fee for going out to the house. I was there an additional 5 min waiting
for him to program it and he said it was right and ready to run. And I told
them (the home owners) that if they had any problems at all that they needed to
call me and I would come out again at no charge. I even gave them my business
card. The homeowner called her and told us that there was a problem with the thermostat
and she said she would call us back. When she called back she said everything was
fine that the t-stat was programmed wrong and it was fixed. Then she had called
us saying that the company they got out there charged them $50.00 for R-22 Freon
and that it not true due to they charged the same amount as us $75.00 a pound. Why
they lied I do not know.
Review: We had called Freddie's Heating & Air Conditioning to replace a thermostat (thermostat provided by ADT). Freddie came to our home, and "installed" the new one. Before he left, he did not check to make sure everything was working, which we thought he had. As he was walking out of the door, we were trying to turn the A/C on - it did not work. It was blowing out hot air. A few years ago, we had a different company come out and tell us we needed freon, so we decided to call around to see who had the cheapest per pound. We found a different company, [redacted] The technicians came to our home and tested the freon, that was not the issue. The issue was Freddie did not program the thermostat to a central air unit - it was programmed to a gas furnace. When I tried to talk to Freddie about the situation and ask for half of the money back (since he only did half of the job), he started to yell at me and then hung up on me.
I felt completely disrespected, especially since we were trying to get in touch with Freddie for almost a week prior to the phone call when he hung up on me. I did, however, get in touch with him the Monday before this happened, but he would not talk to me. He would only talk to my husband - even though I tried to explain to him he was working and wouldn't get home until 5, and he was adamant. He stated he will call us back and after two days of no calls and not being able to get in touch with him, I called trying to speak with him about the matter again. Instead of a professional attitude, he decided to yell at me (I could not understand what he was saying) and then hang up on me.
I will never do business with this company again and will urge as many people as I can to not use them.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund due to the fact that the job was not done completely or correctly. I had to pay another $104 on top of the $85 I paid Freddie to fix what he was supposed to fix.
