My husband and I recently replaced our counter-tops, sink, etcin our kitchen We decided to have a professional plumber install all of the new faucets, garbage disposal, piping, etcand called Frank's because we live outside the city and had seen Frank's vehicles in our neighborhood on numerous occasions We assumed they would be a good choice and called for an appointment The technician/plumber and his apprentice arrived and we explained what we wanted done We had already purchased the faucet and garbage disposal so the only supplied required would be new piping under the sink Much to our dismay and outrage, we received an estimate of $This included $to install the faucet, $to install the disposal, $to install the piping and an $service agreement I think the term "highway robbery" is very applicable I had expected a possible $300-$estimate Needless to say, we payed the $evaluation fee and sent the gentlemen on their merry way My husband spend $on the necessary pipes and fitting at the hardware store and did the work himself He might not be as fast as your guys (less than hours) but we definitely prefer a small amount of personal inconvenience and a $bill to Frank's outrageous estimate We have most definitely crossed them off our list of service providers
