We have traveled to Maui quite a few times, and have always used the national car rental chains This year, in order to save money, we rented from Frank's Friendly Cars He picked us up at the airport, took us to his lot, and set us up in a Toyota Matrix for three weeks He threw in three child seats for no additional charge The car was clean and ran flawlessly [redacted] is as friendly as his business name implies It was nice to look like a local, with a surf board rack on top, and aftermarket seat covers and floor mats We will use Frank's in the future, and highly recommend him to anyone who doesn't care about driving a brand new car
