Review: 38 of the 44 windows I purchased thru [redacted] had to be replaced due to failed window seals. 8 of the 38 windows had to be replaced a second time. This clearly represents an inferior product which is not at all what I paid for. I paid $13,000 plus for these windows back in 2004-06 with a 15 year warranty. The windows started to fail with 5 years of purchase. The manufacturer has responded and worked with me as best possible ([redacted]) however [redacted] did not stand behind his sale in the least. After attempting to contact him and his team on several occasions via phone and e-mail I was dismissed by [redacted] and placed in direct contact with the manufacturer via e-mail. [redacted] never once returned any of my numerous phone calls to his office. He had plenty of time to talk with me during the sale of these subpar windows but none when I needed his help. This is absolutely poor business and he and his company should be reprimanded. With the replacement of the windows I incurred additional monies that totaled over $870.00. As a professional and customer I asked [redacted] (via e-mail) to at minimum split this cost with me and he flat out said NO. I have given him numerous opportunities to resolve this issue and feel that I was treated poorly as a customer. Since the failed windows were not caused by anything on my doing I should not have incurred any additional expenses from the original payment. This ordeal has caused my stress and money that was unnecessary as well I fear that these windows will continue to fail with time. I ask for your assistance with filing a complaint and if possible recouping additional monies spent out of pocket after the initial sale of the windows.Desired Settlement: I ask for your assistance with filing a complaint and if possible recouping additional monies spent out of pocket after the initial sale of the windows. Also I please ask for the peace of mind to know that my windows will be covered as they fail in the future as I'm sure they will given the past issues. Thank you

Response:
Dear Revdex.com,
Ms [redacted] purchased 44 windows in 2003 at a purchase price of $295.00 each which included the installation cost. Her windows are covered by a Lifetime Limited Warranty provided by the manufacturer, [redacted] Inc. [redacted] warrants that insulated glass will be free from film formation and moisture on the internal glass surfaces caused by failure of the hermetic seal for as long as she owns and resides in the residence. All of Ms. [redacted] replacement insulated glass packs were provided free of charge. When a window is over 2 years old, [redacted] charges a fee for labor which is commensurate with fees charged in comparable markets. In Ms. [redacted] case, [redacted] chose to charge only 50% of the normal labor fee.
