Business Bureau: This letter is in regards to complaint [redacted]. The client mentioned has had insurance with my agency for over two years. His insurance premiums have been automatically paid on his credit card on a monthly basis per his request for over a year. 
In January of 2015, he called to update his credit card information. Per State Farm Company regulations, he was sent an authorization to sign and return to us. He assured us it would be signed and returned to us. The form was never returned to us and therefor ho was billed monthly with a paper bill. The client called when he received the paper billing notice and stated that he wanted the bill on his credit card. The authorization form was again faxed to him with instructions to return asap and the premiums were charged to his credit card as per his request. On March 30. the client called and stated he didn't authorize any credit card payments and wanted his money returned. We said ok, but all monetary refunds must go through State Farm Corporate, he was told it would take 3-5 business days. Credit card authorization for future payments was cancelled at that time. The client did not cancel his insurance policy. He received his money back on April 2 as promised, and on the same day he faxed a form to us to cancel his insurance. That same day all his policies were cancelled per his request. 
There really is no solution to his problem as we did everything the client asked. We are regulated by State Farm Corporate in monetary transactions, refunds do not get paid out of our office.
