*** responded, "I will write off the bill and cancel any charge to Mr***"However, what is needed is a refund of the $(I paid by check #***) dated 8/14/and cashed by *** on 8/19/As of this date that has not happened
As much as I despise having to return money that was properly earned, I do not
want any further difficulties with [redacted]. I did not realize that even though he
complained about the bill, he had paid the bill. I am, therefore, sending you the enclosed
check made payable to him to send to him. Please tell him not to have any contact at all
with my office in the future. I will not assist him in any of his domestic matters in the
future. Thank you for your attention. I trust that this matter is now firmly closed.
Sincerely

I received the enclosed complaint. Mr. [redacted] and I have a very different
recollection of the experience. Mr. [redacted] did call and ask me specifically to have...
a
telephone consultation as he was residing in Florida at that time. He indicated that he
would pay for the consultation and, therefore, I spoke with him on the phone and
engaged in the consultation that he requested. Then when I sent him the bill, he
indicated that he never knew that he was going to be billed. This is absolutely contrary to
my recollection as I specifically recall his asking for a telephone consultation given the
distance and assured me he would pay for the call. We discussed what the fee would be.
I will write off the bill and cancel any charge to Mr. [redacted]. I will also never trust
anyone out of state under these circumstances in the future.
Review: I called [redacted] about what she would charge and what she would do to handle my case as my lawyer. She called me back and she gave me that information. Next, I received a bill for over $200 for that phone call. I did not know or ever agree to pay to find out how much she would charge.Desired Settlement: Refund
