Review: Hired Mr. Ebersole to expand front porch, and tear down the front stoop and front walkways and replace with new using flagstone. Paid out almost 90% of the total cost ($11,000). He was continually late, and for a job that should have been completed in one month, he was initially late by 7 months, then by 5 months at which time I had to terminate him because the work was extremely bad. I had to hire a new contractor to redo the work at the cost of $8000. Mr. Ebersole had one excuse after another and never took responsibility for anything. Moreover, I discovered after the fact that in Maryland it is ILLEGAL to work without a contracting license, and it is illegal to ask for more than 1/3 of the cost of the job at the beginning. But I am an elderly lady and did not know this and Mr Ebersole took complete advantage of my age and generosity. I have also discovered since then that he had done the same to others, and in fact, had his license revoked in the state of Virginia for similar dealings.Desired Settlement: Want him to refund $8,000.
