Fraley Plumbing came out to install a shower head, shower trim kit, sink faucet and fix a leaking toilet. He arrived and informed me that I had purchased the wrong trim kit for my shower, but that he needed to pick up items for another job so he'd run out and pick up the correct trim needed. He was gone around 45 minutes and came back and started working. By the time I checked in on his work he had already installed the trim kit he had purchased. It basically looked like what he had just taken out-shiney and a plastic handle(very dated like what I had). When I told him I wasn't happy with it he said that I didn't have a choice and later via text told me"the handle is a push handle and there is no other handle for that style available anywhere, as it's never been made". He continued with the installation of other items and fixed the toilet, although now it appears to be dripping again.
When it came time to provide me with the bill, he didn't have an invoice, just a total of $665. I was surprised at that amt and asked for an itemized receipt, which at first said he couldn't provide but then said I would receive once my credit card was run. The receipt I received via text only had the total on it so he said he'd have his secretary send it to me in the AM. That didn't happen so he said he'd send it, but then ended up telling me he'd not be providing me one at all. He tried to take the trash for the items he'd installed out the door with him, but I stopped him and looked up all of said items. He charged me $301 for parts when parts installed totaled under $100. I had to hire a new plumber who helped me order a new trim kit and then install it. Fraley lied about the handle type I wanted not being available - I'm now wondering if he just had it already in his truck.New plumber also commented that the parts installed(***) are about the cheapest made- all plastic. I have all texts back and forth saved showing poor customer service and know I was taken advantage of with this business
We were called out on 1-22-20 for multiple issues.
1-Repair Leaking toilet @ 2nd floor guest restroom (per ***).
2-Install 1 owner provided shower trim kit @ 2nd floor guest shower (brushed nickle finish) (per ***).
3-Install 1 owner provided lavatory faucet @ 2nd floor guest R.R and new pop up assembly (brushed nickel) (per ***).
4-Assess issue with master bathroom far right faucet (not getting water pressure) as directed (per ***).
5-Assess issue with first floor half bath toilet as directed (per ***).
Upon diagnosis of issues to be repaired and or installed it was determined what was needed to be done and what materials would need to be purchased. After going over this with the customer (***), and explaining that she did in fact buy the wrong shower valve trim kit for her replacement, that she could go and get the correct parts and I would return on another day to install the correct parts and repair what was needed at that time or that I could go and get them. She the customer (***) chose that I go and get the parts and return to install them the same day 1-22-20.
I did in fact go and purchase her materials for the repairs to be made. However, I never mixed up words in saying I was picking up materials for any other project or job, this simply is a FACTUAL LIE and defamation of character. As far as time goes, 45 minutes that sounds about right, considering I need to travel there, find what is needed in the local hardware store and return to install the materials. That breaks down to 15 minutes each way, and 15 to find what is needed, that is pretty good time.
I shown the customer the materials purchased when I returned from the hardware store as she had to let me in the house to get to work. She had no concerns at that time nor expressed any. I never at anytime stated that she had no choice in anything. It is her home, and I/we respect that. We never have and never would express that the customer has no choice. The choice is always the customers choice, never ours as that's how we get paid.
If any work has been faulty the customer could contact us to remedy the situation, as we do warranty our work. But that never happened, maybe due to trying to slander, defame someone instead.
Upon completion, AN INVOICE WAS PROVIDED (we do our invoicing electronically) including all sales. It is a safer option to the economy and to our environment. Yes, after her payment was made a receipt would be sent to her, which it was after her payment was made as we don't give paid receipts until after you have actually paid your bill.
After completion of the repairs and installations, I went over all work done with the customer, and asked her if I could answer any questions and or go over more in detail any of the work performed, she did walk through with me and she had no concerns or complaints. In fact she stated I did a wonderful job.
Yes, I was willing to take away the trash as we always do. But since she did keep the trash she can surely attest to me not re-using parts off my truck, as she does have the parts trash. Same with the other materials. The customer could have gone and got these parts at her cost, but it seems she wanted me to do that for her and somehow give her the parts cheaper than the store gives them to me for. Which obviously we cannot do.
The only lie being told here is that of *** and her incredible story trying to taint the name of a family business whom has done no one wrong, ever. The handle is a push/pull, not a lever style like she bought thinking it would work.
It is obvious we could not please her from the start, or she would have contacted us not you. We will not be paying for the other plumber or his parts as that was your choice, by choice.
