I am rejecting this response because:
Franklin Collection never ceased collection activity during the validation period.  According to FDCPA Section 809(b) a debt collector MUST cease collection activity until verification is received by creditor.  Credit bureau reporting is considered collection activity.  If they are contending that they did cease collection activity then I would like the AUD authorization number assigned to the request to update status until receipt was confirmed.  I am respectfully requesting Franklin Collection do the right thing and delete the invalidated account.  This is my attempt in  making every effort to get this matter resolved without taking legal action and presenting this case in a courtroom before a jury.

AT&T has verified that I don't owe them any money.
That phone line was removed years ago and there is no penalty associated with it.
