Foundation work was not completed per contract. Issue with leaking still exist and my phone messages are not returned.Problem date 7/31/14Contract date 4/25/14Proposal submitted by [redacted]Work was performed July 28I was told it was a two day job and the contract laid out the scope of work to be performed. Active work was performed between 9 am and 3:30 pm on Monday July 28.Leaking began July 30They did not perform the work detailed in the contract specificallyRun drain discharge to far side of concrete driveway. Cut driveway and re-pour concrete.Run 4"discharge line to daylightDesired SettlementI expect the problem to be fixed. I also think I should get a refund since the work only took one day. Refund amount should be about $600.00Business Response /[redacted]/The contract did say we would cut the concrete (driveway) in order to run the 4" discharge line but, when the guys were on the job they started digging and found the original discharge line which ran beside the house. The line was clogged and we spent 3 hours cleaning the line out. We could have cut the concrete and run the other line in half that time. Once we cleaned out the existing line we felt that was the best option for the discharge line. Ms. [redacted] paid the guys before they left the sight with no complaints. She did call the next day requesting a deduction in the cost since we were only there one day, but I sent five guys to the site in order to finish the job and didn't feel a reduction in price was called for. She agreed with that. Phone calls were always returned; she stated she had not checked email or voice mail messages when she called back on two occasions. Normally we would only send a crew of three men and the job would have taken two days, however sine the weather was so unpredictable and rain was in the forecast we decided to send a larger crew (5 men) and complete the job in one day. The existing leak is a result of a door being improperly installed. Ms. [redacted] was told she would need to have a carpenter remove the threshold and re-caulk the threshold. Ms. [redacted] commented that the leak under the door was significantly better and that's when we told her the next step was to re-caulk the threshold which would require removal and a qualified carpenter would need to perform the work. She stated she had the threshold removed and caulked in June, we let her know it needed to be done again.
