Prescription products and the cost to the patient is always shared with the patient prior to providing the medication. In this case a CoPay assistance program is provided by the pharmaceutical company not by Foundation Care. This program charges the insurance company the full amount and
then whatever amount is not covered up to $2,is covered by the pharamceutical company. This program is very beneficial to the patient because it reduces their out of pocket expense by a significant amount. Unfortunately patients do not always understand all of the ramifications to their insurance programs. Because there are thousands of iterations of insurance options it is impossible for Foundation Care to know the exact impact on every patient. However, patients are informed of exactly what will occur. In addition, by law Foundation Care nor any other pharmacy in the country cannot take returned medications
