On 4/20/2018, we were notified from our customer of his move to another state. At this time he is still under contract however because of his circumstances we decided to terminate his agreement upon days of receiving written notification of cancellation of services. This should clear
up any obligation to his contract and satisfy his request. The customer has been made aware of this but has not contacted us since that time
Mr. [redacted], Thank you for your commitment to Fortress Security and for being a valued customer for the past 5 ½ years. It has been our pleasure to serve you. With regard to your recent submission to the Revdex.com. You and the company agreed on October 24, 2014 to a 39-month...
Agreement/Contract. The 39-month term is an industry standard. Fortress Security verbally outlines its terms of the contract prior to any signature(s). In addition, we also state the terms of the contract on the face of the Alarm Monitoring Agreement in bold print where it reads: SERVICE FEES & TERM OF AGREEMENT. It plainly states: “This Agreement shall continue for an initial term of 39-Months, unless earlier terminated pursuant to the provisions here of, and thereafter automatically renew for successive one (1) year periods, unless either party gives proper written notice of cancellation to the other party at least thirty (30) days prior to the initial or any renewal term.” Fortress Security did not receive a notice of cancellation of any type, verbal or in writing, from you prior to the renewal of your Agreement. You contacted us 34 days after your Agreement had been automatically renewed. As a valued customer, we had previously offered you two options: Pay the balance of the Agreement. Reduce your monthly rate by $30.00 with a 24-month commitment. Neither option suited you on the day we discussed the two options – which was February 28, 2018. You clearly stated, when asked, during our conversation on the aforementioned date, that you were very pleased with your service that Fortress Security has provided for you and your family since August of 2012. Fortress Security is prepared to offer a 3rd option. A monthly reduction by $30.00 for 12-months with no auto-renewal. We regretful that we could not come to a resolution. Again, it has been our pleasure serving you. Thank you for your loyalty and business over the years.
