The *** *** *** of Greater Hartford hired Forman Caterers for their anniversary fundraiser dinner next OctoberAt signing of contract he immediately requested a 25% deposit of the total agreed on which was $3,and we gave him a check for that amount which he immediately cashedtwo days later we found out he was not allowed into the event venue we had contracted with and we needed to cancel our arrangement with himI called him and he said he would return our depositWe later found out he was notified months earlier he could not work in this particular venue so he mislead us thinking he could and allowing us to sign and give him a depositafter at least a half dozen emails and telephone calls of him promising to return our deposit he finally sent a check - and a week later the deposited check was returned to me for insufficient fundsagain we repeatedly tried to get in touch and ask him to send us the money owed with empty promisesit is three months now sin
