I'm unable to continue my gym membership due to surgery on both of my shoulders. I notified Forged Fitness, but they have been unresponsive.
My account with Forged Fitness is temporarily on hold due to a shoulder surgery I had in January of 2018. Since this was my second surgery, my surgeon advised me to avoid contact sports to prevent re-injury to my shoulder. I sent an email in May to Forged Fitness to request my contract be terminated for medical reasons which is allowed in the membership contract. On May 15th 2018, a representative from Forged Fitness sent me an email requesting that I provide a note from my surgeon to process my cancellation request. I sent them the letter on May 16th, however, I've had no reply from them since. I've sent 2 more emails to Forged Fitness on May 29th and June 17th, but still no reply. Literally all of my calls to Forged Fitness have gone to the answering machine to which I've left several messages. This has been an incredibly frustrating process dealing with Forged Fitness. They are actively avoiding my messages and seem more than willing to break the terms of their own contract if it suites them. I just need someone to Forged Fitness to release me from the contract so that I'll never have to deal with this business again.
I want to be released from membership contract because of my shoulder surgeries.
Mr. contract was terminated long ago and he has paid us nothing since December of 2017. There is no dispute to resolve as he is not nor has he been a member in many months. We have since changed our phone number. If he calls the correct number we would be happy to speak with him about the matter.
My contract with Forged Fitness expired. I requested the veteran payment plan for the next contract, never ended up signing it, but was charged.
On 6 January 2018, I was contacted by Forged Fitness (email address ***.com, the letter signed off by ***) regarding my expiring membership. I responding to that email on 22 January 2018 to review contract options. *** generated the contract for the veteran's discount and emailed it to me on 22 January 2018. I never signed the contract but was charged for the membership of $125 on my *** credit card on 23 January 2018. On 23 January 2018, I emailed *** and said I hadn't signed the contract and would like to get a refund because I decided against continuing my membership. I received no response. I emailed once again on 30 January at 7:29am (EST) requesting a follow-up but once again received no response. I proceeded to call and leave a voice message at 919-821-0720 on 30 January at 6:13pm but received no follow-up. I have copies of all email interactions, and lack thereof, as well as a screenshot of my call to Forged Fitness lasting 1 minute and 8 seconds (long enough to leave a voice message requesting a call back.)
This is extremely disappointing as I have been a happy member of Forged Fitness in the past. I've enjoyed Cary Forged Fitness' Jiujitsu and Muay Thai classes because the instructors are dedicated to their students, but clearly, the management does not look after their business or their members/past members.
As it's been over one month since my lack of response from Forged Fitness regarding my refund of an unauthorized charge.
An explanation of why I was charged with no contract, why I was not contacted regarding my charges and request for a refund, a full refund and any additional charges associated with the unauthorized charge.
The business has reached out to me to and told me they refunded my account. This issue is resolved.
Also, I realized I meant to delete my last sentence from the "Case Description" because it hadn't been one month since my last contact- it was 3 weeks since they last contacted me.
