Johana, Good afternoon! I hope you are having a great day! Everything has been taken care of, but I just wanted to fill you in on case regarding Monique *** being billed for her son's membership, Michael *** This situation was brought to our attention on
5/17/2017, we wanted to make sure that Monique was taken care of for the error, so on that same day we submitted a reversal refund directly back to Monique's account As it takes some days to process and reverse back to that account based on the bank's clearance of funds, she successfully received a full refund of $on 05/30/ We also removed her account information from Michael's membership the same day, and was updated to new billing information I have attached a timeline of events that are automatically logged with any membership event, change, or inquiry regarding someone's membership I have highlighted the section that shows when the reversal was submitted, and when the billing was removed and changed.If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out Thank you,
To whom it may concern, In response to this complaint, I have spoke with the member about the situation. She mentioned that she didn't understand why we kept asking for her child's birth certificate (or ID), so I explained to her that for legal purposes, since he was under he age of
16, that it is Planet Fitness policy that we have documentation on file under her membership since he is a minor. She understood the policy. Her real concern was heavily on the fact that member's constantly approached her while she was working out in the gym. She felt as though she was being harassed by them. I apologized, and told her that our #concern is providing a comfortable, non-intimidating atmosphere for ALL of our members. I explained to her that, if we would have known, we would have been happy to talk to the member's that were making her feel uncomfortable. I told her that if she ever wants to come back that we would welcome her back without enrollment costs. She understood, and said that she should have let us know, and didn't know that we could enforce a policy like that. We had a great conversation, was very satisfied, and thanked me for calling her.
