Our HOA fees were due and we either never received or lost the bill when (and if) they sent it. We were then sent to a legal association with legal fees associated when no other attempt had been made to collect payment from us. The amount due was $140, and now they are trying to charge $750+. In my opinion, this is very unethical and scam of a way to take more money from the associations residents.
