Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:FOCUS INTERNATIONAL HAWAII MODEL & TALENT AGENCYAfter reading response from Focus’s administrator contact Reggie, I feel even more used for my money and lost timePlease note the following lies from this company.First, Swan only did one class with me present during June 2016.They had us sign up and pay the first day, the paid photographer then took my pictures. The following day we had a short class about how to walk and act in front of clients they would have coming to MauiThey had us take pictures of ourselves with cellphone to make general photo proofs about how we look without tattoos and for our height and symmetryThere was more talk about how they were going to find us work and how much money we could make when we get the jobs.Secondly, there is misinformation from them about how my father in law, ***, and brother in law, ***, had two free classes as wellThey were there the first day and paid for their own pictures with the FOCUS hired photographer, then following day came to hear more at the class, but were not being focused on for building a portfolio offered in the courseMy mom, [redacted] , doesn’t understand English and was there just the first day to see if they were a legit business or not.? Third misnomer is about how I signed up for a five year modeling agreement with FOCUS INTERNATIONAL.? There is no date on agreement, other than time signed and paid.? I have not wanted them to keep using my photos, but rather to have them stop promising instruction classes they have not made happen. After June class, there was an email from Indigo about classes, but the reason they got cancelled was not because of conflicting Kauai Showcase.? Rather, Indigo who was to be Maui Scout and contact for us, did not like the teacher and so she cancelled it.? I don’t understand why they need to mention how they had McCall J***, a Kauai Scout ready to come to Maui but didn’t because he died in hiking accident.? The fact of the matter is that no further classes were held here for us.? And, as of some five months ago, Indigo’s [redacted] , the Maui FOCUS Headquarters and contact, has had their shop closed. My father in law, [redacted] kept calling and texting Swan about not feeling good about paying last payment, because Swan had not upheld her part of the bargain.? But, each time was the same spin from Swan about how they were going to have something and they really wanted to help me with my modeling career and that I should come to the other islands to join them there.? This would mean spending more money I do not have without any assurances from them for work or classes moving forwardIn response from FOCUS INTERNATIONAL, there is then a listing of excuses on their part about how they are spending money on me at ‘NO EXTRA CHARGE”? Furthermore, getting me into competitions with my photos and saying how I have winnings in the form of scholarships valued at $100? How does this help me?? I am still not happy about any of their spin on getting me a refund for lost time and energies. It is my wish that they completely refund my money, remove my pictures from their website and cancel my contract with them, so as to allow me to find a more suitable company that won’t take my money with nothing in return, based on an agreement they claimed to uphold.FOCUS INTERNATIONAL is not a reputable company and although they have emailed me about job opportunities and photoshoots on other islands, to what benefit does it serve someone like me without the training from workshops that would help me in each field? Sincerely, [redacted]

Our goal for Maui was to work with Indigo B[redacted] (Maui Scout)who wanted to help us build our Maui Island (model-talent) base,as we have many clients working on this Island.Swan E[redacted](Owner) met with[redacted] and [redacted] (step father and mother) and Indigo in June 2016. The package that [redacted] signed up for is a series of training over time to help our new models achieve their certification @ (Passport Workshops). The Payment Plan Option [redacted] chose was "Option B", which is a three (3) month plan requiring a $750.00 deposit and payments of $300.00 for 3 months plus Hawaii Ge tax. Swan was able to teach two classes while on Maui, which [redacted] attended along with [redacted] and her brother [redacted] at (No Extra Charge).1. Passport Workshop Agreement: Option BJune 23, 2016-$781.25 ($750.00+ tax) Paid deposit CC ending ([redacted])2. 1st payment @ Option B:August 10, 2016-$312.50 ($300 + tax) Paid CC ending([redacted])3. 2nd payment @ Option B:Sept. 3, 2016-$312.50 ($300 +tax) Paid CC ending([redacted])4. Balance Owed $312.50 (final payment due in October).Indigo (Focus Scout) sent an email to all new Maui models back in the beginning of September re: a September workshop. That workshop was unfortunately canceled@ Indigo, explaining it was due to our Kauai Scholarship Showcase event being held September 24, 2016.With the events that were happening on Kauai Island in (September) as a gesture,Swan offered to enter [redacted]in our Photo Portfolio category of the Kauai Scholarship Showcase competition event. This was a competition she would not have to be present for. "Five" photo-categories: Fashion/Commercial/Editorial/Head
shot and Fantasy. I personally took her book around to all of our judges. Entry Fee's were $50.00 for each category (Value of $250.00) No ExtraCharge to [redacted].Her photo's won 2 scholarships-("two mini websites" @ two-2nd Place - Value $100.00). I emailed "winners list" to [redacted]Oct. 7, 2017.Swan and I spoke with[redacted] on a conference call in October and explained we were working on a location to teach another workshop and that we would not charge the final payment until a Focus representative was able to teach another workshop or when Swan personally could make it back over to Maui.We also talked about her "winnings" @ Scholarship Showcase event -Kauai. Swan suggested putting her winnings($100.00 Value)towards the entry fee,for The Top Models of Hawaii Pageant being held next year on Big Island.Swan felt that [redacted] would do very well at this Pageant event.October workshop: Kauai Scout/ McCall J[redacted],was working part time on Maui and was excited to meet our new Maui talent/models. Unfortunately there were location issues and he was not able to teach that workshop. We later tried to reschedule for November but he was killed in a horrible accident while hiking on Maui Nov. 8, 2016.When [redacted] first signed up in June, as part of her package she received a 3 look photo shoot by our Los Angeles photographer Peter B[redacted], which she received all high resolution images. She also received a 1 year professional website, whlch she received. URL link: ...⇄ · http://www.focushawaii.com/model-talent/[redacted]m. htm.
