Is the FNBO in that much financial trouble that they can not return a fee of $89.00
I feel that their customer service motto is " We got your money -Try to get it back"
I have been a customer with first national for a little over 11 years. for the most part I have been happy with my time here.
-the people at the branch that I frequent know me and are friendly
-have always been happy to help me with my many various accounts
-deal happily with all my crazy amounts of money during girl scout cookie time
HOWEVER, recently I had 2 of my bank cards stolen. I was NOT happy with how this was dealt with.
-the thief drained around $5000 out of an account in an hour that never has more than $300 spent in a month and there was no notification. Fraud department did not catch it. I only saved this account from being totally drained because I had another card stolen from a different bank and THAT bank sent text messages about potential fraudulent charges
-I had to spend 90 minutes WAITING to speak with someone to close cards after I found out my cards were missing. in the meantime, the thief was happily spending my money.
-the fraud department does not seem to be very competent. they have told me one thing and then they don't follow through with doing it.
-I tried to figure out ways we could increase the security on my accounts, and sadly there was not really any options. the only option I had was to drop the amounts that were allowed to be spent on the card or taken from ATM. they had NO other solutions for me.
other banks offer services where you can personally freeze your card if you think it was stolen or if you misplace it. or text messaging for transactions. or they watch your account better for potential fraud. none of that happened here and none of that is available.
the next week, my son had his account hacked. the fraud team told me he had made transactions that he did not a couple of months ago and that is why his account was hacked.
I have really lost my faith that they know what they are doing.
lastly, I called and asked a manager to contact me back and convince me why I should keep my business with them. I gave them a couple of days and I got no such phone call back from them so I guess in the long run they really don't care so much about my business??
Sad. I guess it doesn't pay to be loyal to a company because in the long run they just really don't care about you.
Well I applied for federal grant money and the check I got from the bank. I went into My bank becu bank in Tukwila wa. It was deposited in My account. And after 4 days I got alert from my account saying it was being returned. I got a letter from my bank saying it was not authorized. I'm not sure what that all means. But now I'm in bigger debt with interests building on what I'm left with. How does it happen that I deposit a check in my account. And find out it's not authorized. Remitted: *** . How does this happen. Please find out and let me know.
