Review: On 08/23/2013 I placed an order for 'Floyd Rose Titanium Bridge Mounting Machine Studs (set of 2)'. While waiting on the first order to arrive, I place another order for the same item on 08/27/2013 via the same method. The items are hardware for electric guitars. Since all of the promotional images and all of the actual images and video available was, and still is, of a bare titanium appearance, I based the purchase on the bare titanium appearance for use on specific guitars where the bare titanium appearance would reasonably blend in. It is VERY common for guitar players to want a certain visual appeal to the hardware. Both sets of what was received were not what was advertised. All screws have a charred burnt blackened appearance from the top going about halfway down the threads. There was never a mention of such an appearance. The areas that have this charred blackened look are pretty much the only visible areas of the hardware and it is not as it was described or shown in any reference material that I could find prior to receiving the items. For that matter, the promotional photos are still up and being used. This company can also be reached at: [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would be perfectly happy to work with the company to resolve the matter, but all I've gotten from AP International have been what I consider to be stall and delay tactics. I would not like to see other paying customers have to endure the same. The Floyd Rose website contains policies for handling problems such as this, but I have yet to see a real genuine effort to adhere to such policies...just e-mails that are off-topic and e-mails that accomplish hardly anything outside of wasting time. On the company's FB page, a customer was given a full refund as well as new parts being sent out for free. I see no reason why this cannot be handled in a similar fashion. In fact, I've asked just to have two new sets sent out and not even worry about the refund process, with no success.
