I paid Self storage units for rent at $140.00 a month and started paying rent for two units on May 1, 2019. At this time, I was still moving from Michigan and Corpus Christi, Texas. I was paying one month in advance because, I was mailing my checks from Michigan. I did not want to be late for a payment.
I paid cash for May 1, 2019.
I paid with a check for June 2019 (ck ***)
I paid with a check for July 2019 (ck #***)
I paid with a check for August 2019 (ck # ***)
I paid with a check for September 2019 (Ck ***
I paid with a check for October 2019 (ck # ***)
I paid with a check for November 2019 (Ck #***)
I moved out on October 26, 2019 from the two units #*** and #***.
I talked to the owner that day and told him I was moving out of the units and that he owed me Novembers rent back because I paid a month in advance. He assured me he would go back to his office, because he did not have his computer with him and refund my money.
I called him on Monday morning on the 28 Oct 2019 and reminded him to look into my account and refund my money.
Until this day, he has not called me or contacted me regarding my refund. After, he told me in person he would get back to me on Monday.
Flour Bluff Self Storage owes me $140.00 for paying for November 2019 rent.
I chose this storage unit because the self-storage unit is friendly to military people. I did not have to give a $25.00 deposit. I also had to write down my social security number on my application. The worker told me he could not rent the unit out without my social security number. I thought this was illegal for a company to ask you for your social security number to rent out storage units. I understand a driver's license, but not a person's social security number.
This was a miss communication between customer the customer has been contacted and refunded
