They unexpectedly kept our RV for 2 months, tried overcharging, used & kept our supplies without our knowledge, & left repairs undone (stranded us).
We scheduled a roof repair appointment for our 2010 Heartland Big Country 32' fifth wheel RV a month in advance. We dropped off on Feb 14, 2019. Upon drop-off, we asked about a few other repairs & were told they would be no problem. There was no mention of needing more than the one week timeframe. The next Friday, our RV was not ready for pick-up. In fact, not a single repair had been done. We could see that a few things had been moved for diagnostics only. Every week, for another six weeks, the same thing would happen: we were told they were close to finishing, excuses were given for why they hadn't been able to finish, & we were told it would be another week. Finally, we were told we could pick up on Mon, Apr 8, 2019. We were unable to get back down to Pensacola (we had to leave in March to get back to TN) until the weekend, which we communicated to Ash when we asked if he remembered to pack the axles. He said he had forgotten that & would take care of it by Fri since we would arrive in town that night to pick up first thing Sat morning. We messaged Sat morning to find out what time Ash would meet us to pick up the RV, & we were told we could not pick up until after noon because a mechanic was working on the axles. As we got ready to pay, we discovered that Ash was trying not to honor his competitor's roof replacement quote, though he verbally agreed to honor it when we dropped off the RV. He also tried overcharging a few other things & charged us for work on the front stabilizing jacks. When we arrived at our RV park the next morning (Sun), we were unable to hook-up when we discovered that our electrical cables had been removed from our storage compartment & never put back. We invoiced Ash for the replacements we had to buy that day to be able to set up. Instead of paying the invoice, he mailed our cables to our domicile, which does us no good, since we will not be back there until Oct. When we got ready to move again today (Sat, Apr 20, 2019), we were unable to retract our right, front stabilizing jack because the entire mechanism literally fell apart. This was a mechanism that was supposed to be diagnosed & fixed while in Ash's care. Now, we are left to seek out another mechanic to fix that mechanism, check the wiring of the second air conditioner Ash's team installed (wired in to a light switch that we are not sure supports an AC unit & failed to install one digital thermostat for both units, as requested), & have our new roof checked (Ash's team installed but left numerous wrinkles in it, which will likely cause us more trouble).
We would like a full refund since we will have to pay to repair the shoddy work completed at Florida RV Center. Further, we had numerous expenses associated with being without our RV for seven weeks longer than expected/quoted, not being able to pick up the RV early Sat morning to arrive at our next destination in time to set up for night, not being able to leave the RV park the next Sat due to the broken stabilizing jack mechanism, & having to travel to Florida RV Center from TN due to the extended timeframe.
False Advertising.
I called Florida RV Center in response to a XXXX XX ft Ford Gulf Stream Ultra Conquest with 14,300 miles. I asked the salesman about the miles. He did not respond so I assumed it had 14,300 miles as advertised. On Friday, 12/29/17 I put a down payment of $4,582.63 and completed loan paperwork for what I thought to be an rv with 14,300 miles on it. I told him I was flying down Monday 1/8/18 to pick it up. He told me it was ready to go. When I got there Monday 1/8/18, they said they could not find the keys so I paid one night at a hotel. Again on Tuesday 1/9/18 and each day until pick up on Saturday 1/20/18 (almost 2 work weeks later) they put me in a hotel. Friday night 1/19/18 the locksmith arrived. I was brought to the RV Center around 3:00 p.m. Saturday 1/20/18. The rv had 140,000 miles which was never disclosed before leaving Minnesota. I did not find out until 2 work weeks later. Today 1/23/17, I found a receipt stating Florida RV Center replaced the motor at 89,837 miles and the new motor has 50,000 miles versus 14,300 that they originally advertised. They put a metal roof on it indicating water damage; never disclosed. The wallpaper put up on the damaged part is coming undone. The battery went dead that Sunday morning 1/21/18 and had to be replaced by me. They left the gas tank under a quarter full; propane almost on empty, sub floor in the bathroom rotted and needs to be replaced.
And now, the original advertisement is off and not on their site and they have a new advertisement.
I would like full refund of my down payment and out of the loan.
We purchased a motor home from this company. Paid for it. Promised a delivery date, and they didn't deliver. Promised another delivery date and didn't deliver again. We have still have yet to get the motor home that we've purchased. We've tried several times to contact Florida rv center they are not taking our calls. We have left several messages to get this resolved to no avail.
