Revdex.com spoke to Dan at business and the following was relayed: Gel coat is the generic name for the interior finish. It is clearly stated as High Definition, blue with multi-colored specks and different kinds of particles that have natural inconsistencies. That issue has been corrected. The issue now being reported is a "chalking" of the finish under the water. When wet sandpaper was applied with light movement the chalk disappears. It is not the granite coat product but the product either used in the water or calcium and lime naturally in the water. The customer was informed from the beginning that at some point it will turn white from the waterline down. It can be sanded but the process is time consuming. We did state shock as that is one way for the chalking to occur. The customer's chlorine tablets are responsible, at least in part, and if the customer looks inside their auto chlorinator they will see the same.
