Florida Health Alert &Technology

My family has used the Florida Health Alert (R***) pendants for nearly three years. The system has been been very reliable, customizable and easy to use. On only two occasions requiring customer support, Scott provided excellent personalized, professional and efficient services that rate well above and beyond our expectations.
The fall detection feature provides 24/7 peace of mind since my 100-year-old mother and I have had syncope and other episodes/accidents, including Mom's fall last month when she broke her left arm. The system quickly notified her three contacts (up to five contacts are allowed). We prefer not to include an emergency service to the contact sequence; however, an emergency service number can be added at any time.
The customizable contact list is easy to set up and change. Until Mom's arm heals, I deleted all but one person on her contact list so that the system alerts just the one designated person to help her to the restroom at night.
The pendants are easy-to-use, unobtrusive and lightweight; thus, we comfortably, easily and safely move about independently while at home or traveling abroad. The SOS button is easy to press; even our 9-lb service dog is trained to press the SOS button if Mom or I need help. Alternatively, Mom or I can call a designated contact by pressing the phone button on the side of the pendant. Additionally, anyone on the contact list can call the pendant and/or other callers can be blocked.

I researched A LOT of medical alert companies and learned that the RescueTouch by Florida Health Alert and Smart Home has a really unique feature that sets it apart from the rest. You can set it up so it will contact family or friends rather than instantly calling 911. This was very important to my Mom, who is extremely private and didn't want ambulances, fire trucks, and paramedics coming if she fell and just needed a little help . The owner of the company is also super nice and knowledgeable, and you can tell when you speak to him that he truly cares about his clients. Florida Health Alert an Smart Home definitely deserves 5 STARS.

My family is so grateful for my dad's Rescue Touch device and the company's dispatchers for saving my 90 year-old father's life not only once, but three times over the past two months. My dad lives alone in Central Florida and is very independent. His agreeing to wearing a Rescue Touch alert device gives my sister and I great comfort. Since January, he has had to use the device to access energency assistance due to three separate life-threatening health emergencies. We are so grateful for the quick response by the company's dispatchers in alerting local EMT'S who came to our dad's aid.

As my mom's mobility began to be questioned, my wife and I reached out to evaluate some of the "medic alert" companies. When we called Rescue Touch, we shared our circumstances with the operator and were transferred to the owner of the company Scott L. Scott walked us through the features of the device and evaluated our needs. I was totally unaware that the technology existed to have my mom's device call me and speak directly OR call 911. This way, I can make the determination as to her condition before 911 is called and emergency services are rendered. In addition, the device allows for "two way calling". I can call her device when I am unable to reach her on her phone and we can speak direct. My mom is even thankful for this feature in that she sometimes "can't find her phone".

We were very satisfied with Rescue Touch. They bent over backwards to assist with initial setup, and after we no longer needed the service, they were very accommodating about cancellation.
We used the service for an elderly parent so that she could contact the onsite caregivers at a senior living facility. It was especially helpful when she needed assistance at night. The caregivers phone number was programmed into the touch button and she was able to simply push the button which called the caregiver and then she talked to the caregiver to tell them what she needed. Simple and effective.

I couldn't be more satisfied with Rescue Touch! They have outstanding service and support and a uniquely refreshing style of alert button. They're prompt and attentive to our needs and ready to offer suggestions to accommodate our particular situation. I got the buttons for my parents. They like the style and colors, and especially liked that they don't have to have EMS called when what they need is assitance from me. The buttons are easy to use. I think every family should have them. I highly recommend this company!
