on 4-18-some furniture items from a deceased woman's estate were donated to our store The Hutch and the buffet items were placed for sale on our floor on 4-22- They were paid for on 4-26-by the complainant above The morning of 4-27-the family who donated the items
came and stated that they should not have done so because the Estate had not yet been settled as the woman had only passed away at the end of MarchThe donor had made and error and told us the deceased Will and Testament clearly had stated the furniture items were to be given to a specific person in the family The donor was not that person Feeling that it may be considered a stolen item as the estate hasn't been settled I made the decision to return the items to the family who donated It is not in our best interest to sell items that could be considered stolen or given under pretense I immediately called the lady who purchased the items Explained that a full refund would be given and was offering her a $gift card to our store for her trouble as wellshe became irritated over the phone and raised her voice Then she stated she was going to call the police and her lawyer I explained that the refund would be given and she was unwilling to accept the termsMeanwhile a refund for all her purchases from 4-26-15(not just the hutch and buffet but all items from that day) was put back on her card (please see the attached register receipts and refund amount) A total of $was refundedThe complainant called again stating she was taking me to small claims court and reporting me to Revdex.com Again these are unusual circumstances and as the business owner I did what I felt was in the best interest of everyone The complainant is not out any funds of any kind Please feel free to call me at *** with questions or for further information that may help settle this issue
