Recently, due to COVID19 my fiance and I had to cancel our upcoming June 27th cruise vacation. Our cruise required us to fly from Los Angeles to Houston Texas to then travel down to Galveston Texas for our cruise. A few months ago we purchased plane tickets with *** Airlines to get us to Texas. Now that we are having to cancel everything, yesterday we looked up "*** Airlines" on google to retrieve their phone number and cancel our flight with a *** Airlines representative. We called the first phone number listed in google under "*** Airlines" and spoke with someone. We asked the gentleman (who had a strong Indian accent) if this was *** Airlines and he answered "Yes, please give me your flight confirmation number." I gave him our information and he found our reservation. He told us that we would have two options. We could either cancel our flight for a refund and pay $90 cancellation fee per person, or postpone our flight and pay a re-booking fee of $60 per person. I asked him "Why don't you waive the fees since there is a global pandemic occurring?" He said unfortunately they cannot waive any cancellation or re-booking fees. We proceeded to choose the cheaper of the two options, and paid the re-booking fee. There are three of us, so we had to pay $180 total. They asked for our credit card information and we paid by credit card, believing our *** flight would be postponed. This morning we went onto ***.com and looked up our flight information to verify it was cancelled for now. In the website it showed no changes at all. This meant the people we were speaking to were pretending to be *** Airlines staff, charging fraudulent fees, and not providing the flight adjustment services they said they were. "Again, when typing "*** Airlines" in google, the phone number for this fraudulent company is the first item. This company's number is ***. If you can please investigate, I'm sure many, many people are being scammed just like me.
