Fleur De Paris

My wife and I were visiting New Orleans from Ohio and stayed at the Bourbon Orleans which happens to be a few blocks away from Fleur De Paris. My wife adores hats and was excited to shop at this store because of their attractive hats in the window.

After entering the store, we quickly found out how abhorrent their customer service was. My wife was rudely stalked around the store and berated for touching the hats to get a better look at them. My wife also indicated she had objections to buying hats made of animal furs, but since there were also hats made of straw and wool she continued to look. Instead of directing us towards these more "animal friendly" hats, the clerk accused my wife of playing "this game" of shopping with no intention of buying. While she looked over the hats, the clerk (a number of times, in a not so subtle manner) also indicated the hats were too expensive for us. Although we were in blue jeans at that time, I am a physician and my wife a banking executive and could certainly comfortably afford their overpriced hats. Absolutely the most snide and wretched behavior from a clerk that I have ever encountered. I could never imagine recommending this shop to anyone. The only thing they would get from this store is insulted and outraged. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE
