I'm a local investor and trusted flatiron. We have been closing deals with them and they completely ghosted their client and treated me like nobody.
They don't care to resolve a matter and will drag you in the dirt and for the ego of one of the board member's who does not let me iron out a solution which is simple in the real realm of this business .
and stupidest the board member named "Joe Cavagnaro " he claims has a board member but never has relayed any message to the rest of board members. We have been contacting merely for 1 year and all Joe Cavagnaro does is ignore the matter..
This company does not care for long term relationships and tries to hurt the investor. We close over 20 deals a year now and this is the nasty behavior of this Company .
We have expressed all concerns to Joe and also Ryan M who closes all my deals. He also ghosted us and told me to only speak to Joe. We have contacted Joe for over a year now and he would rather hurt a client than to resolve the matter and get into a conference to iron out a deal . He won't even forward my concerns to the rest of the board ..
if any other investor is having same issue for with flat iron please contact me as we are making a awareness and new alert for flat iron for their nasty business tactics against their own client .. shame on Joe for hurting his lending firm and not working with your life long client
Avoid at all cost contact me as are the marketing team and news and media is now taking action and will be on the news ..
If Flatiron wants to drag their client in the dirt I'm sure they are doing to many others.
If you're an investor, do not risk your projects. We work with people who treat us like family, not ignore and pass my messages to the board as I have all proof of numerous requests and keep getting ignored .

Flatiron Realty Capital representatives Ariel R and Ryan M assured me that they would be able to provide a mortgage loan for the purchase of a condominium located at ***. Mr. R required that I submit the fee for an appraisal in the amount of $750.00. I did submit the fee in the form of a check from Capital One bank. After I submitted the appraisal fee, Mr. R also required that I obtain information to fill out a condominium questionnaire. I attempted to obtain the information from the owners of the condominium (Parkchester Preservation Management), however they would not fill out the questionnaire and provided me with an information sheet which was standard for persons purchasing condominiums their development. Mr. R stated that the deal could not be done without the questionnaire information. There was no appraisal done on the property by Flatiron Realty Capital. When I requested that the $750.00 appraisal fee be refunded, Mr. R stated that the fee would not be refunded because he does not work for free and that he did all the paperwork on the deal which entitled him to keep the appraisal fee.

Company agreed to loan 70% of the appraised value of my property, then lowered the actual amount by $87,500 or 62%, leaving me unable to do the deal. They took weeks to complete a process that should have taken a few days. Their fees are extremely high and must be paid up front before the unsuspecting client learns they will not deliver as promised.

The response is absolutely, blatantly false. The company offered 70% financing. Their own appraisal came in at $1,125,000 which should have supported a loan of $787,500. Instead, they offered $700,000 and after my objection, increased it to $731,000.

We will credit $1500 towards closing for your next deal, we don't like unhappy clients. I am certain that Flatiron Realty Capital would never turn away a clean opportunity. Values are not the only factor to making a clean deal, there are a handful of variables.
These people are FRAUDS! I’m currently in a mess with them trying to get my money back. This seriously have been hell. They seem clueless as to what they are doing. All I keep getting from them is apologies. I’m taking them to court
Hi ***, I apologize you had a bad experience with us. We take a payment for appraisals that go directly to ordering the appraiser, there can be no refund for spent money. Let us know how we can make your next experience with us better. We will beat any lender by $1500 if you bring a valid term sheet to us.
The worst lender I ever dealt with! He promised me to close in 3 business days after he confirmed on msg that he got everything he needs and if for any reason he'll not close after 3 business days I'll receive my full deposit of $9,000 wired back. We agreed on terms of the loan and rates with points. I called him the day after to ask what's going on with appraisal he said I shouldn't worry as he promised he'll have everything ready to close on time. At the third day I called him to ask where we holding but he have not responded after calling a lot of times he wrote me that he's sick in bed so I should stop calling 20 times a day. I told him that I'm losing a deal and money than he called me back and start screaming on me that I know it was a short time so I must give it another two days but he's promising me that because of this delay he'll reduce my base points with .25%
I saw I have no choice I negotiate with my previous lender to wait another few days but than he sent an email with term sheet stating the rate should be 10% + 4 points!!! So I told him we agreed 10 + 2 points he started lying that he never told it even when I sent him screenshot of the massage he didn't responded to that. Than after another week when every day he promised me to close in another day or two just because it came up another small issue one time with title another time about fighting about the points and than appraisal didn't came back (after he ordered them only 10 days after the beginning of the process) than after 3 weeks I told my lawyer to email him that I'm not going further with the loan and I demand my deposit back. He responded with few words that "there will be no refund" . I got very angry on him and u really wanted to cancel and back out I saw where it is going. But I decided to give it one more week. I hope I did the right thing. And if he'll not close latest by next Monday I'll have to see if I'll place a claim at his small claims court or sue him in Federal court.

This company has called me a dozen times in the last few months.
I have requested to be taken off the list but they continue to call me.
I have asked twice now to speak with a supervisor and been hung up on.
This company has rude and obnoxious sales reps and they are now harrassing me with phone calls from different numbers.
