Flanders Valley Monument

Review: Trying to have my fathers headstone engraved and picture put on. Paid for picture upfront and was told 6 - 8 weeks. Check was cashed on June 28, 2013. It has been approx. 19 weeks and every time I call I am told another week and to be patient. This company is definitely not keeping there word and I am afraid this will not be completed before the snow sets in and my father won't have a name on his headstone.Desired Settlement: I want my fathers picture and name engraved by the end of this week I feel I have waited LONG enough, anything you can do to speed this up would be greatly appreciated. I am tired of seeing my poor mother cry every time we go check and see if its done.

7/22/13 ordered a monument with granite base for my mom's grave and was told I would have a sketch by August and the whole process should

take about 3 months-paid a deposit of $746.32 by check (did not accept credit cards)

8/19 was told sketch should be in that week.

8/29 same as 8/19

9/12 was told it would cost more money

10/2 [redacted] said in a couple of days

10/12 [redacted], the owner, said I would have the proof of Monday. Also, she ordered the wrong color granite and that would take a

couple of weeks to fix.

10/15 [redacted] told me should have the sketch by the end of the week.

10/19 I received the sketch. My mom's last name was spelled incorrectly and I made some changes.

10/22 I dropped off a copy of the sketch with all my changes and [redacted] told me I would have the revised sketch in a couple of

days. I told her I wanted this all done and installed by Christmas.

10/23 [redacted] called me and said the cemetery cut-off date for installation was 11/4 and said we would have to wait until April for installation. I told

her I had an exception from the cemetery and she said she would put a "Rush" on the whole order.

10/26 [redacted] will check on sketch-should have by Monday or Tuesday.

10/30 [redacted] told me the plaque was in another state (I think S.C.) but she was going to have it sent back so her husband could bring directly to

the cemetery & the granite would be installed at a later time. I told her I never even received the revised sketch. She said, "I guess the

plaque isn't done." and she would email me the sketch.

10/31 [redacted] said she forgot to bring home the sketch so she could email it to me. I did however receive the sketch that day, but it was the same

sketch from 10/19 without any of my corrections from 10/22.

11/1 C. lied & confused & lost my documentsDesired Settlement: I want the revised sketch so I can authorize it. Then have the plaque made and connected to the granite base and delivered to the cemetery ASAP.

(should only take a couple of weeks) If I don't get the sketch by this week, I would want a full refund of $1,119.48
