This apartment complex practices unsafe and dangerous maintenance of the ageing property. A six inch gap between the cement landing halfway up the stairs to the second floor and the snapped steel shaft below meant to buttress the steel and cement stair case created a trampoline effect as one climbed each step. A significant, dangerous, and pronounced structural bounce occurred with each step. This was reported to management repeatedly during a 6 month rental period ending June 30th, 2016, but never addressed, endangering the heath and safety of tenants in Units 11-202 and 11-201 fixed. It was also reported to Flagstone Apartments Corporate Parent, GREYSTAR, (P.O.Box 2706, Lynnwood, Washington, 98036. As a courtesy upon move out, we attempted to inform the corporate office once again of the dangerous situation however a (Jim), in Accounts receivables was beligerant regarding the matter, refused to transfer or provide information to help GREYSTAR address the matter with their local affiliate(Flagstone), and referred us back to the local Flagstone office. We had called the local office several times and all calls went to voice mail where no message could be left due to a filled inbox. They have no problem charging exhorbatant and phantom fees such as a $10 light bulb, or unwarrented carpet stretching via a 3rd party vendor long after your move out, but refuse to address or acknowledge safty matters such as the stairs or security lighting in the extremely dark nightime hours. As a father I would not reccomend any student or parent of a student, particularly young woman, to rent from a business that so calously disregards the health and saftety of their renters.
