Dear ***,Thank you for this opportunity to respond to the claim made by *** *** against FJP Services, IncThe original quote, to install a walkway that would adjoin an existing patio, was submitted on 1/19/When the customer called to say they wanted us to do work on 5/15/
we had a 3-month backlogFJP Services, Incnever promised the installation by 5/30/but said we would attempt get it done for themWhen our paver supplier's representative, *** ***, went to the homeowner's residence to determine what pavers had been used on the adjoining patio he discovered that the existing pavers were discontinued and manufactured by *** *** * *** *** ***., a company that has since gone out of business*** explained that to *** *** and later dropped off samples for him to choose an acceptable alternate paver*** *** never contacted us to tell us which paver he had selected.We received a call from him a few days later asking when we were starting the jobWe asked him which paver he had selected for a substituteHe then became very hostile saying “You haven’t even ordered the material?” We asked “Have you selected the paver that you want?” *** was very upset and threatened to destroy our company on social networking and hung up on usBottom line is we couldn’t have chosen the paver for himIt had to be his decisionIf we just put something close to his existing paver and he didn’t like it, we would have to replace it at our cost.On May 26th, we received an emailed message from Shari *** asking us to return the ***'s down payment within three daysWe returned the ***’s check via U.SCertified Mail Receipt on 5/27/and we have a signed receipt dated 5/29/We feel we have gone above and beyond to provide good customer service to *** and *** ***If the ***’s had informed us of their selection, the job could have been completed in the time frame requestedAttached you will find a copy of the ***’s deposit dated 5/15/15, the US Postal Service certified mail and a signed return receipt, and a copy of our 1/19/proposal that was signed by *** *** on 5/15/Sincerely,
