In Response to [redacted] 's complaint: [redacted] called in late feb/early march and explained she had water damage from snow and ice melt this winterShe explained she had a already put a claim in with her insurance company and contractor had started the interior repairs and ripped out drywall to the breezeway where it leakedI met [redacted] and the contractor on site and it was determined the breezeway roof had feet of ice and water shield and not feet as the contract saysI offered to tear those sections off and install feet of ice and water shield and reshingle the areaI also offered to repair the inside or since the contractor already started the work pay for $for a deductibleThe day my guys where scheduled to go there and do the repair she canceledI left for a week long vacation and tried to reschedule the work and she said she had some personal matters going on and she would call me backShe never did instead I got a letter from her attorney asking for a refundI am not going to refund her money but I will do the original repair I had offeredJason

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
The story changes and gets modified as it continuesI rest my case and have decided to move onNo bill left on site, communication delayed and through informal channels, and a total lack of customer service despite continued efforts to give company my business

Below are my responses to ***'s request:Five Star - File the warranty claim for the shingles that are not laying flat on the garage and front porchI am more
than happy to help and start this process asap
Five Star - Replace the vent that is defectiveYes asap Five Star - Install the perma boots on roof as contract statesYes asap Five Star - Remove the *** Gutter Guard that was installed
incorrectly At this point the new gutters and the gutters on the sun
room would need to be all lowered to the proper height to install the
*** Gutter Guards Five Star does not have the expertise to install
this type of gutter guards at this time The new gutters are not hung
at the proper height and would need to rehung and would result in more
holes in the house This would also require the gutters that five star
did not replace but installed the *** Gutter Guard on to be rehung
also. ***'s will not be responsible for the cost of the *** Gutter
Guards that were improperly installed October
Five Star - Replace any drip edge that has any kind of holes that
were caused by the improperly installed *** Gutter GuardsAny pieces
that are replaced must be done using a reasonable length of drip edgeI believe a fair resolution is for me to make the corrections needed on these gutter guards to ensure that they are installed according to the installation guidelinesIf the *** decline this I will also remove themHowever, I will not replace fascia boards because in order to install gutter guards the installation calls for screwing through both the fascia board and drip edgeI will however, replace drip edges that were screwed into and install a wood filler or agreed upon sealant into the fascia boardI will also install a white sealant on the gutter where the *** Gutter guard was screwed into itBecause we were contracted to install this product we should be compensated for itIt is there choice to not have the installation corrected and rather the product removedI will issue a $per foot material credit because the material will be able to be reused
Five Star - Replace any fascia board that has any kind of holes that
were caused by the improperly installed *** Gutter Any pieces that
are replaced must be done using a reasonable length of fascia

Five Star to pay ***'s for the van tire that was damaged by a nail $Yes as a credit from there balance
Five Star - Calk end caps of the gutters Yes asap
Five Star to Contribute to the cost of the treatment and sealing of the mold in the attic
Total cost 1,(***- $ , ***-$ NOThe was a preexisting condition
File the warranty for the *** *** Roof that we have paid forCompleted on 5-12-
We will pay for the gutters that were installed October -
$ Payment will be done after a rain and it is determined the
rain water is running into the gutter and not down the house

I needed some home siding and water damage repair work on my front living room I reached out to this company a month ago They were quick to dispatch someone to give me an estimate on the workHowever, I did have a bad experience initially due to lack of response on a start date The owner contacted me immediately after my Revdex.com complain and ratified the issue with a crew scheduled for the following week In the end, they finished the job in a timely manner and the work is excellent

On July 7th I emailed *** this "***, In order to correct the gutter problem we would
need to add a couple hangers and adjust your drip edgeThe cost do
this service would be $If it is something you would like to move
forward with you can just reply back to this email that you
approve." He Replied: "Hi Jason, Thanks for coming by this morning and for sending over this estimateWe'd like to move forward with you and your company for this work. Is this something we could have done this week, weekend, or early next week? Also: is there a way to work up a general estimate for the gutter guard? Looking forward to getting something on the books soonThanks." I scheduled the job for the 17th of JulyOn July 17th *** texted me " Hey Jason its *** *** at *** *** *** roa thanks for sending the guys out todayWhile they are fixing the gutter it would be a huge help if they also cleaned off any of the debris/weeds from the moon light area on the roof near the master bedroomI'm free up until amif anyone has questions." On July 30th I sent him this "***, Let me know a good time to swing by and pick up
your balanceI could come by around 7:tomorrow morning if that
worksWhen I come by I will discuss the gutter guards with you." He replied: "Hi Jason, Let's find a time to talk by
phoneAnother company, *** *** Gutters, repaired and cleaned the
gutters before your company had a chance to come outWe had to have
this work done in a timely manner, and I've already paid this company
for the workI am also concerned that someone
on your end may have falsely reported work doneDo you have a time
stamp for when the guys from your company did the work? I'm also
surprised that they never left a hill onsite." I then sent him a gps report showing my guys were at his address they day we talked about

Revdex.com spoke to Jason at business and the following was relayed: The breezeway should have had 6' of ice and water and only had 3'. We are going to redo the breezeway and we will install ridge-vent. The back lower section has more than 6' but the main upper only has 3'. We will redo the main upper. I was working with Eric N** (representing Five Star Improvements) on a small front windows and siding job for $2,500. On 11/3, we agreed on the price for the job. So far so good. I waited couple of days and call him back for scheduling this job, he did not respond. I been calling and texting for almost a week; he finally text back a week later with a 11/28 start date. On 11/28, no one shows up. I text him again. He responded with 2 words, “This week”. No apology, no reason why they missed the appointment. It is now Monday, 12/5 (a week later). I receive no further communication from Eric or anyone from the company. It is too late in the season for me to schedule this job with another company. I have to wait till spring next year. Completely un-professional on how this company conduct business.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have left a message for Five Star to schedule an inspection. I accept the request to inspect the roof, however I do not accept this as a resolution to the problem. I spoke with a Revdex.com rep today, and they said that I should mark the request as accepted, since technically I am accepting the option that Jason suggested, but make sure to specify that I do not accept this as a resolution to the entire problem.

In Response to [redacted]'s complaint: [redacted] called in late feb/early march and explained she had water damage from snow and ice melt this winter. She explained she had a already put a claim in with her insurance company and contractor had started the interior repairs and ripped out drywall to the...

breezeway where it leaked. I met [redacted] and the contractor on site and it was determined the breezeway roof had 3 feet of ice and water shield and not 6 feet as the contract says. I offered to tear those sections off and install 6 feet of ice and water shield and reshingle the area. I also offered to repair the inside or since the contractor already started the work pay for $500 for a deductible. The day my guys where scheduled to go there and do the repair she canceled. I left for a week long vacation and tried to reschedule the work and she said she had some personal matters going on and she would call me back. She never did instead I got a letter from her attorney asking for a refund. I am not going to refund her money but I will do the original repair I had offered. Jason

We will not issue a credit because the work we said were going to do we did. In addition he asked us to unplug his heating cables. In an email response to whether or not my guys were there I indicated I knew they were there becasue they called me asking were they were plugged in they didn't initially see them. That was another reason I knew they were there (this was prior to me checking the GPS).. Since then I talked to my foreman, Radames who was on site and he said he did find them and unplug them. I called to [redacted] to discuss this but he never called me back. This was done in addition at no charge because it was easy enough. My guys are more than happy to come out the job site and review with they did with [redacted]. jason

Revdex.com has spoken with [redacted] and the following resolution has been agreed to:
Business has agreed to replace drip edge as consumer requests. The gutter guard will be removed. The $1,400 for the installation of gutter guard has not been paid and will be credited against the final bill. The business stated they are not familiar with s specific box for sending in shingles to be tested but will contact their [redacted] representative to assist with getting this box if possible for the customer. All other conditions were previously agreed to by business and remain the same with the exception of the plywood mold issue which the consumer has requested no longer be handled by Revdex.com through this complaint.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  Revdex.com spoke to consumer and the consumer relayed that the issues have been or are in the process of being resolved and she is currently satisfied.
