Review: We purchased a black [redacted] from [redacted] of Five Star in the summer of 2014. The day I drove the vehicle off the lot I had to bring it back because it leaked water in the passenger compartment. [redacted] had that fixed in a few days. Two days after getting the vehicle back it was making a noise I found out to be the front drive shaft. I rebuilt it. We took the vehicle through [redacted] inspection and it did not pass because of the front half shaft axles being bad and front end parts (ball joints) needing to be replaced. I explained to Howard that this vehicle purchase had to be reasonable because we did not have a lot of money for a vehicle or/and make a lot of repairs to the vehicle after we purchased it. [redacted] and the employees at Five Star stop answering my wife phone calls and did not offer any solutions as far as helping us get through [redacted] inspection. I made all the repairs to the vehicle and finally pass [redacted] inspection.

I've attempted to sale the vehicle, but Five Star will not send the title with the cleared lien. My wife has informed me we made all payments due.Desired Settlement: I would like the cleared title lien or for Five Star to buy the vehicle back. I feel because of the repairs I have made to the vehicle in order to get through inspection there should have been billing adjustments made for us. I would welcome Five Star to buy the vehicle back at a reasonable price. I would like for Five Star to explain what money do they think is owed at this time.

[redacted]from the business contacted Revdex.com to respond to this complaint. The customer’s vehicle was a buy here pay here agreement and the terms were to pay $150 every two weeks. The customer had not made a payment since October 2014 and so a lien release could not be sent because the customer had not finished paying for the car. As a gesture of goodwill, when the customer made a $200 payment the business waived the remaining $206 balance. They will be mailing the lien release out today since the car has now been paid for.
