I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
I didn't sign any paperwork for a tax "estimate"I signed paperwork for my taxes to be FILEDI initially went to him in order to file my taxesOnce I met with him, I changed my mindDuring the process, he had me sign papers for the tax filing and preparationOnce I decided to not go with him, I asked him to shred the papersHe refused, and stated that he would charge me simply for his timeNowhere in his office did he have any signage that states he charges simply for timeI ended up calling the cops in order to get my paperwork backThe cops were no help- as they stated this was a civil matter and not a criminal matterSo, they simply suggested I take it to small claims court and apologized for being unable to help me*** *** then doctored the papers I signed (after I signed them) claiming I agreed to pay for an "estimate"I ended up having my taxes prepared and filed by someone elseI have attached proof of thisI also verbally stated that I do not authorize *** ***, his company, or any other company affiliated with his company to deduct any money from my bank account as no services had been renderedHis going against my wishes is blatant crookedness and shows his greed and lack of moral fiberI have attached a written statement rescinding any prior authorization for *** *** or any company affiliated with *** *** to take any money from me whatsoever.

I would like to respond to this complaint. I have an email from her that she wants to do her taxes and she wants to make an appointment. I went through the process of filing her taxes and she said OK and wanted to file her taxes. She left the office to come back with the $100.00 to file her tax...
s her tax return I would have to charge her for the time. She even signed an authorization form agreeing to this. Also while she left and came back I was with a different customer and she didn't even have to manners to kindly wait until I was done. I told her that I charge $40 for an estimate and that I am not gonna file her taxes but just return her paperwork with how much she would pay to the IRS. The cops came and saw that she signed the authorization for the $40.00 and told her to leave. I think just because she doesn't want to pay for an estimate she doesn't have to pretend that she didn't know what she signed. Also she came into the office to FILE her taxes in the email she sent. She never said that she wanted just an estimate. I can send you proof that she emailed me to file her taxes, and that she signed a credit card authorization form for the accounting estimate for $40.00.
returns and now says she doesn't want to file her taxes. I printed out her return and had everything ready for her to sign. Nowhere in my office does it say that I offer free estimates for tax returns. I explained to her that since I took my time out to a
I charged you for the estimate. You signed the authorization for the estimate. I will not be refunding you.
