Customer called on the 31st of August to cancel membership the next day. Our policy is as stated in the membership agreement: All billing status changes are effective on the first of the month following the month in which the billing status change was received, PROVIDING THAT THE CHANGE IS
RECEIVED NO LATER THAN THE 25TH DAY OF THE MONTH This policy is standard with most EFT type services (tanning, gym memberships, insurance policies etc.) No refund will be given

I am rejecting this response. My request was for a full refund of $59.99 and there was no attempt on the part of $5 Tan to offer satisfaction on any level. All that was provided was a reiteration of their less than customer serving policy.

Customer did not put her membership on hold (freeze) until 12/21/2016. She came in September 15th 2015 to tan under her membership and purchase product, but did not make any changes to her membership, nor did she come in after that until...
12/21/2016. She has put her membership on hold back in 7/2014 and is aware that she is required to come in and sign a written notice for any changes made. She spoke with our management on January 7th 2016 and was reminded of this policy. Customer is also aware the signed contract for her membership states electronic funds transfer remains in effect until we receive written notice and membership fees are not refundable. As a one time courtesy we did give Chandler a credit of one month on her $5 Tan ledger. No further credit will be given
After speaking to Tim, I concluded he did not follow the cancellation process to cancel his membership and stop his monthly payments. No refund will be given. As a courtesy I cancelled his membership over the phone so he would not have any further charges.
