Review: A complete joke and this is why. We had a renter who claimed that mold was in the apartment he rented from us. After viewing the area (above the dryer) it was clear there was 'mold' at least visually. FBM were called and their 'investigative' report said the area was mold and there were other areas.
When we asked for more explanation [redacted], as his staff refer him by, barely talked to him, missed things, was short on the phone and barely have any information for the $450 and just wanted to do then$3,000 cleaning of a 650sq ft apt.
We wanted more answers but nothing. In the end it cost us our Tennant and a few months rent. We went it to look at the area and thought we would just touch it and wipe it to see what happened and it was lint from the dryer !!! Not mold. Nothing.
So FBM professional service and therma imaging etc are Indeed questionable. Plus those devices will find mold anywhere because mold exists everywhere. Unreal. Total farce.Desired Settlement: Refund and 6,000 in two months of lost rent.

Response:
Good afternoon,I would like to start off by stating that FBMS has been in business
over a decade and in that time we have been register with the Revdex.com for several
years, I believe this is the 1st complaint we have had against us as
we try our best to maintain 100% customer satisfaction. That being said I’m
unclear why the complainant would state it cost them $600 when the mold
Inspection fee was $399 and paid by credit card. While [redacted] is correct mold exists everywhere, according
to the EPA there are “acceptable” levels of mold- we are able to identify this
by taking a control sample (from directly outside of each property at the time
of its inspection). According to lab results the acceptable spore count for inside
of the apartment would be about 27 spores per cubic meter, the results show
that the spore count found in the laundry area was 320, also the swab sample
taken from the same area indicates that not only is was mold present but its at
an active growth. Although the [redacted] were able to wipe off the mold (which
they claim is lint) its guarantee to come back. Mold is a living organism and
will continue to grow as long as there is moisture and/or humidity. Also, at the after samples are taken they are FedEx-ed over
night to a 3rd party lab to be analyzed. [redacted] and his wife tried to claim (on multiple
occasions) the mold in the apt was being brought on by 2 very tiny humidifiers the
tenant had in his apt. We explained to them the laundry area was not vented
property, but even then [redacted] & his wife stated “maybe the tenant is
running the dryer too much”. Not once did they try to take any responsibility for
the conditions in the apt and were in complete denial. Moreover, the tenant and his wife complained of mold exposure
before receiving any results, which is why the inspection was performed in the
1st place. We had nothing to do with their tenant’s abrupt leave.
The tenant was very upset about the mold conditions in their apt and because the
landlord (the complainant) wouldn’t move forward with any treatment or repair he
moved out. We have a very large client base and it’s nearly impossible
to please everyone all of the time but we do try our best. Unfortunately [redacted] & his wife were not satisfied however that does not mean they should
get any type of refund or reimbursement. Please let me know if you would like me to
forward you the 34 page Mold Inspection Report with proof of payment from the
client.
