Review: In the process of moving to a new duty station, I was trying to get a refund on the remainder of my contract with the gym. The Manager was very abusive when I called. This was actually a follow up call to see if the owner had determined that I was going to even get a refund. The manager, [redacted] angrily demanded that since I was in the military that I knew how to show respect, and that I needed to show him respect at all time** Never mind that he spoke over me constantly as I tried to explain why I was calling. He went on to ask me 'what does your problem have to do with my gym?' He was abusive in his demeanor and his verbiage.If this is how the manager treats customers, how are the other employees? In six months I met only one employee who does not treat the customer as if they are an annoyance because their personal workout has been interrupted. She treats each person with respect and dignity. Not something that comes from the facility manager in Galt.Desired Settlement: The owner did determine that I was due a refund, after he verified that I did indeed move out of the area. However, he penalized me for things that I was unaware of, 'Early Termination Fee' and the fact that I did not give him a 30 day notice. I work for the military, I had a 10 day notice myself. I could not give him what I didn't have.I would like for [redacted], the 'manager' to be fired, or undergo 'Customer Service Training' with the certification of completion to be turned in to the Revdex.com.

[redacted] was issued a larger refund than she was legally entitled to receiving. The club actually waived the required early $50 cancellation fee that is collectable in California Contractual law.
In fact the club did expediate the refund, normal policy is 30 days from official date of legitimate verification of move. In addition club accepted a lease without dates or confirmed information instead of a utility bill or new DMV printout to prove permanent verification of move.
[redacted] called an was extremely abusive to staff and had her roommate attempt to try and collect cash on the spot for her alleged move which is against any sense of ethical business practice**
The club asks that the complaint be removed or return the early $50 cancellation fee that was waived if customer accepted refund as written in letter.
The Assistant Manager has never had a customer service complaint and will be addressed about the alleged occurance on 3/27/2014. Since [redacted] has worked her 4 years with 0 customer service complaints I do not agree that he needs addtitonal customer service training.
CLUB DOES NOT ACCEPT VERBAL ABUSE OF OUR STAFF AND PATRON** I KNOW FOR A FACT THE [redacted] RETURNED [redacted] call and advised what he could to help her even after she abused him verbally using profanity and rude tone of voice. I back my staff and patrons when it comes to verbal abuse.
The club has been open for 22 years because of excellent customer service and I am very surprised that our refund amount which was larger than entiled; ( clearly written in our California Members Agreement), and clubs expediated delivery of refund was accepted so unkindly by [redacted]( a person whom is paid by Americans and is serving our country).
Please drop the complaint since I believe it was written in anger and in not just.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is not exactly satisfactory to me, but I will accept it just to make it go away.
