Installation of a new water heater. The chronology of the events are as follows.
May 4 - I contacted Fite Plumbing (hereinafter referred to as "Fite") in Plainfield Indiana and requested them to investigate and install a new water heater since my old water heater was leaking. An appointment was set for May 6.
May 6 - The Fite service technician came to our home at approximately 10:00 am to investigate the leakage and to install a new water heater. When came to the front door of our house, he did not have on a mask, rubber gloves or shoe coverings. Given the current COVID-19 issues and the fact that my wife and I are over 65 years of age and that she is undergoing ongoing medical treatment, I required that he wear these items before coming into our home. He did not have these items so I provided him with a mask and rubber gloves. He still did not have any shoes coverings or make any attempt to obtain the coverings. When he removed the old water heater, I asked if he had a cover for the bottom of the old leaking water heater which needed to be removed over a carpeted area - he did not. I provided him with a plastic shower curtain, which he used and did not return. The installation took about 4 hours. I asked the technician about the service manual for the new water heater and he said it was on the floor next to the water heater. I paid the technician by check the amount of $1,057.00 for the water heater installation. The manual was on the floor and thoroughly water soaked and unusable. Following the installation of the new water heater (hereinafter referred to as "water heater"), I took a shower and then checked the water heater and discovered leakage on the basement floor. I called Fite at approximately 4:00 pm and spoke with the service manager and advised him of the leak and requested a different technician. He stated that a service technician would be at our home the next day on May 7.
May 7 - a Fite technician came to our house. He investigated the leakage and found that the backside of a connection for the heater had not been "sweated" or soldered. He made the repair and left after about 1-1 1/2 hours. Following his repairs, my wife took a shower and I then checked the heater for leaks and found leakage on the heater and the floor. I called Fite and spoke with the Fite service manager and requested that he and a different technician review, investigate and repair the leaks. At approximately on May 7, the Fite service manager and a technician came to our house. Neither had masks, rubber gloves or shoe coverings. Again, I requested that both wear those items before coming into the house. They obtained masks, gloves but no shoes coverings and they both took off their shoes in our house. The leak was repaired in approximately 1-1 1/2 hours and, thus far, there have been no further leaks.
May 12 - I called Fite and requested the owner of Fite to call me to discuss my concerns regarding the removal and installation of the water heater. I did not receive any calls from the owner on May 12 or May 13.
May 14 - I called Fite again and requested the owner to call me. I did not receive any call from the owner of Fite on May 14.
May 15 - I called Fite and advised them that after my repeated requests the owner had not called me and that I would be filing a written formal complaint with the Revdex.com.

Their stood behind their parts and labor warranty. New water heater install in July 2015 and the tank failed in December 2018. Called for service around 7:30 in the morning and they arrived within 2 hours with new AO Smith water heater. The technician was very meticulous in his installation and did a great job. No expenses incurred. Great company.
