Fit Republic

Gym opened before was legal to open during covid19, began charging directly from my bank account. I called to cancel, was told it was canceled. Continued to be charged by Fit Republic. Told by new manager *** that the business is no longer FitRepublic so there may be no way to resolve it and that many others are complaining of the same thing.

Over a year ago now my husband and I opened a membership at the Redding Fit Republic, right when it first opened up. After not using the membership at all, we went in under a month later and cancelled our account with a guy named ***, who we also opened our account with. I’m now told by current employees that *** no longer works there, and that they had previous problems with him giving clients inaccurate information. It was unfortunately only a couple months ago that we noticed our bank account had been getting charged for over a year and a half for our memberships that we thought had been cancelled. We called Fit Republic right away, they told us there was nothing they could do about the previous charges (totaling over $600), but that they would cancel our membership right away. The next month we were charged again. We went to our bank, who informed us the only thing we could do to stop the charges would be open a new bank account, which we did. Now, we are receiving texts and emails that say we have an overdue balance of around $150 that will be sent to collections.
