Do to a misunderstanding between me and the Contractor who installed my heating and air conditioner, the energy rebate form was not sent within the days from installationI called First Energy as soon as I found the mistake and explained to them the situation and they said to send the application anywayAfter doing so they denied the claim because of the day stipulationI told them I understood it was my mistake but the rebate program was still in progress until May 31, and could be post marked as late as June 7, Due to the fact the program was still active I feel they still need to honor the applicationIt was a honest mistake on my part in missing the day filing period
